Beautiful, rich writing, Beryl Bainbrdge created distinctive and memorable characters in this short novel, and some funny scenes. But Morgan won my heart, and his mother too. I must read more of her books !

I bought this #folio for myself months ago during the sale because, Titanic. I knew I needed something well written to get me out of my reading funk and the writing in this ended up being exquisite, with beautiful illustrations that were also done by the author. #foliofreaks
