A fitting second book for the Magisterium series. Just enough trails to follow into the upcoming books. #34-2023

Two authors I love so I knew I had to read this series even if for a YA novel it reads more Y than A.
I really enjoyed The Copper Gauntlet, the second book in Holly Black and Cassandra Clare's Magisterium series. At this point, we know that Callum is evil . . . or, at least, that his body may have been taken over by the spirit of the dead evil overlord who is just waiting (I guess?) to emerge and start doing evil things again. Call's developing relationships with Aaron and Tamara, ⬇️
Enjoyed this sequel. Just didn't like how they left things unexplained, also felt like there were parts that were rushed.
4/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟
#NOSPOILERS I loved this book out of the first four I have read. Still awaiting the time I can read the fifth and final book of the series. Like most people, the ending is usually the best part. This ending in positively indescribable! (and that's a good thing!) 10/10
1. Probably just enjoy being back home after spending two weeks at my grandparents house. Read a lot and sleep a lot.
2. Donuts! 🍩 🍩🍩
3. The tagged book. I don't know how I finished it in two days.
4. My mom's birthday. Her happiness made me happy.
5. @Jess7 @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @Chelleo @RaimeyGallant @BookaholicNatty @TrishB @Tessa_Herondale and every other wonderful Litten. #LitsyLove

Reading this book (the second in the Magisterium series) with my 13-year-old tutoring student. We are really enjoying it!
I have a break from work, while I wait for more accounts to drop, so might as well get some reading time in! I‘ve been in a bit of a slump this month, so I have some catching up to do.
It‘s been a while since I read the first book in the series, but finally getting myself to read The Copper Gauntlet reminded me just how good it is. It also reminded me how much I love Cassandra Clare‘s writing, Holly Black‘s writing, and how amazing the pair are when they work together.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ very good but didn't have quite the impact the first book did.
Doing some bookfairy business in this 'old grey toon by the sea' (which is not so grey today after all). 😊 #ibelieveinbookfairies #standrews #scotland
Cassandra Clare and the wonderful Holly Black were hilarious in their talk. They made extra time to let a lot of teenagers ask questions which was also a lovely gesture. 😊#edbookfest
Made it to Charlotte Square Gardens in time, even though my plane was delayed. 😓 Queueing for the first event now. Be ready to be spammed with pictures. 😂 #edbookfest (Sorry for the sweaty look. I had to dash here. 😂)
This is one of those series that isn't particularly new or innovative, but that has just enough interest to keep me wanting to read.
i love the first one, it was a fun read. can't wait to read this one.
I read these books as fully mocking the genre and sarcastic. Fun and easy to read, the writing style seems sort of like talking to a friend about fantasy.
A great read alike for fans of Harry Potter and Percy Jackson, though less developed in character and world building.
Reading this is a bit like reading Harry Potter for the first time - it's really good!
Loved the first one... Now giving the second one a go!
