Enjoyed this a lot, read very quickly and lots of twists and turns throughout.

It‘s so hot here, all I can do is read. Worse problems to have!

I loved this book. Loved it. Trigger warning for child loss and grief. This book was able to capture emotions of this mother and her grief so well. The author was able to make me think it was almost everyone in this book. I also wasn't 100% sure who it was until it was revealed. Also that ending!? I was shook. 5/5!

Finished this audio today. Actually went through this one pretty quickly (less than a week) without losing track or getting bored. It wasn't amazing. The resort at the end i didn't see coming but I didn't find it overly believable either.

Recently finished this audio. While I enjoyed the mystery and didn't see part of the ending coming, I was a little annoyed at the main character, the mom. Because some of what she did just didn't seem realistic. Like, as an adult, as a mom, she should know better than to do some of the things she did. But they had to happen for the book to move forward. And it did keep me guessing for awhile at who we could trust as the reader.

On a dark stormy night Molly Clarke goes missing and it‘s up to her daughter to solve the reason why she disappeared. This was a quick read for me as I really wanted to see how it ended and although some parts were predictable there were a few twists I didn‘t see coming!

Book 5 for 2021

I FINISHED A BOOK! And it was good. I enjoyed this suspense/thriller about a woman who goes missing and her daughter‘s quest for the truth of her mother‘s fate. It was fabulously twisty, and while some of the big plot points were predictable, there were a couple of surprises, and nothing seemed too same-old, same-old. I loved the dual POVs and the fact that neither was an obsessive, unreliable narrator (I‘m so tired of those).

This one was just okay for me. I thought it was pretty predictable and slow in parts. Could be the audio version that didn‘t grab my interest. I didn‘t hate it, but it just wasn‘t my favorite thriller. It didn‘t really keep me on the edge of my seat.

It appears Molly has walked away from her life after never quite getting over the death of one of her children. But is that really what happened? I enjoyed the storyline following Molly‘s daughter, Nic, but Molly herself was so melodramatic, as was the ending, making this one a bit of a miss for me. I‘ve read and liked Walker before, so I‘ll still try her again.

Hello? 911? I'd like to report a murder. Yes, the final twist in this book murdered my ego, which likes to think it can guess all the twists of a mystery/thriller. Not so with this one.

This is another read I blame on Litsy. So far, I'm into it.

This book was a trip - what a rollercoaster!

One night, wife & mother, Molly, goes missing. The problem is there is also a note found at a nearby motel and it‘s no secret Molly needed a break from her life.

The even bigger problem is Molly has been abducted by the man in a truck with a little girl. He‘s keeping her alive so what does he want from her?

Luckily Molly‘s older daughter will not stop until her mom is found.

It took me a week to read this book, but it was bc I had a busy week full of errands and appointments. I liked the book, but I gave it 4⭐'s because I didn't like how she just threw something in at the end. At least it felt that way to me.

One night, Molly Clarke walked away from her life. The car abandoned miles from home and a motel left at a nearby hotel. Her daughter doesn‘t believe she walked away and continues to look for her.

This story was so good! I couldn‘t put it down. I love this author style of writing and how she keeps you guessing even if you have an idea of what‘s going on.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kept us guessing until almost the end. I wasn‘t a big fan of the final twist, a little more surprising than it should have been. I prefer surprises that make you go “of course, I should have seen that coming”, but this one seemed to come from nowhere. Four stars for me still because of the character development. I appreciated the mother and daughter coming to terms with their grief while under so much stress. Good psychological thriller.

Starting this audiobook over cigars and scotch on a welcome warm autumn evening.

No one writes about messed up families like this author. Dual storyline about a grieving mother who goes missing and her daughters search for her. Twists and turns. Ending was a little weird but ok. 3.5 to 4 👩‍👧👩‍👧👩‍👧👩‍👧

Everything I‘ve read by Wendy Walker has been enjoyable and engrossing and Don‘t Look For Me was no exception. It‘s a great story, yet it proved to be my least favorite of hers to date. That isn‘t saying much, since I‘m giving it 3.5 stars, which I think is a decent rating.

Truly heartfelt thriller. Deep, unpredictable characters, tangled motivations and plot lines. Highly recommended for sure!

As someone who reads a lot of thrillers, I always appreciate when an author does something different. Don‘t Look for Me is told from two points of view: Molly, who disappears one night on the way home from her son‘s football game, and Nicole, Molly‘s daughter who is determined to find out what really happened to her mother. Because of these two perspectives, the reader knows more than the characters do throughout the story. ⬇️

This was my first read by Wendy Walker that I received through NetGalley.
This was a unique style of jumping between the mother and daughter's point of view. The characters were not easy to connect with, which lost me in caring about the story, but I still was interested in the outcome, which seemed a little rushed to wrap up. I will probably not read another book by Wendy Walker.

4/5 stars. This was a suspenseful read start to finish. I enjoyed speculating the real identity of Mick. The twist ending was a bit hard for me to believe, but it was still good. #jpbookreview

I will say if you get past the beginning it does really pick up. I didn‘t love it but overall it was a good background book while I worked.

Wendy Walker is pretty hit and miss for me, but the reviews for this are very good. I don‘t like the protagonist from the first 10 minutes I‘ve listened to, but it‘s still too early to tell if I‘ll get into it.

This story will keep you guessing until the end, giving you just enough clues to keep you trying to put it together and work it out...and even then it will surprise you. I definitely recommend the audio over reading. So glad I was able to listen to this all at one time because it was unstoppable...I'm also pretty sure that it's unputdownable if you choose to read it, instead.

To me this book was like taking a hike on a steep mountain that is very new to you. You walk briskly yet take each twist and turn with careful steps. You watch out for anything and everything. So many things that are there in your way. Possibly it will never end. Just when you think it will go straight another curve is thrown at you. The twists are plenty. 5/5 stars.

I‘ve read and thoroughly enjoyed some of Walker‘s earlier novels, so I was excited to dive into this one! Told in two perspectives (mother and daughter), it‘s a quickly compelling story that draws the reader right in! There‘s a lot of grief in the background but the plot also takes some genuinely shocking turns! I could hardly put it down and I can‘t wait to see what she writes next!

Current situation is pretty nice!

This story weaves through the impact of an unthinkable tragedy that rocked one family to the core. During this story, I experienced a plethora of emotions as I tried to take in what was unfurling as well as piece through character motivations. There were many moments of near revulsion and unguarded curiosity as I took in the full impact of what was taking place. It was both thrilling and suspenseful from beginning to end.

This book is awesome. I love when I don't have everything figured out before the end. This author definitely delivers every time.

Molly runs out of gas during a storm on the anniversary of her youngest child's death. And then she vanishes.
