Good cozy. Good enough to continue with the series. I didn‘t figure out the killer. More of a slow burn than most cozies. The author definitively has a love affair with Seattle.

I read the first 2 books of this cozy series, set in Seattle, while I was visiting there.
#OminousOctober
A cozy from my Kindle TBR that‘s set in a spice shop so lots of #Spices about. 🌶🧄🧂
This was a solid first book for this #cozy #cozymystery #series. It was very well written and well performed as an #audiobook. I listened while #audiodriving which made my commute much more enjoyable. I really enjoyed the setting as I love Seattle and have a secret desire to be a shop owner in my next life. The spice and food references made for a great atmosphere and I didn‘t figure out #whodunit before the end. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Did some #audiocooking earlier today and am now listening again before bed. This #cozy #cozymystery is pretty good so far.
This was just an ok book to me. It felt more like a sales pitch for a travel guide on Seattle and all the reasons why you need to live here instead of a cozy mystery. I might read the next book but it will not be anytime soon .
Had read the second book in the series already, but still wanted to read the first to see what had been missed. Cute enough first book, heavy on characters and their everyday lives and light on actual mystery.
This one just jumped to the top of the pile since it's due back at the library on Tuesday and no renewals allowed.
Nice cozy mystery set in Seattle which is on my bucket list to visit. Love to try the recipes at the end of the book. Working on the second one for the series #HSREADATHON
This was an okay #cozymystery. It had wonderful setting imagery though I think it painted a slightly too utopian picture of Seattle. The problem for me was that I didn't care about the victim or the character who Pepper is so desperate to prove innocent. If I don't care about one of them, it wasn't a good mystery to me.
2017 #75 mystery audio something satisfying about a main character in her 40s that acts her age and does her investigating not because she is a nosy Nora or is just so but because she gives a dang and somewhat stays in the law. Wonderful beach or airline read.
I got these from the little free library at Hugh McRae Park in Wilmington NC. #littlefreelibrary
In a cozy mystery mood, so I camped out in the paperback section at the library today and grabbed a bunch of first in series that sounded cool. I'll be having a cozy mystery reading party the rest of the month if anyone wants to join me 🎉 #ilovecozies #soulfoodreading
It was ok i usually enjiy reading these kibd ofbooks in between a thick novel and have read ones about tea, chocolate, pies, knitting, scrap booking, etc the detail to the subject is usually unreal. This is the first in this series not as much info in it will see what next is like
I listened to the audio book while knitting. It's a nice cozy mystery. Pepper Reece is the owner of a spice shop in Seattle and a murder happens right in front of her store. Everything is explained with so much detail, it felt like I was with her at every location. I'm definitely going to check out more books of the series!

I didn't like this one as much as the others. Unlike most cozy mysteries, this one is set in a city. As much as I enjoy rainy locales, Seattle seemed an odd choice. The MC also spent very little time in her shop. I wondered how she even knew what was going on most of the time. That said, I like it enough to continue the series. Hopefully I adjust to the way this series is set up.
Dorian is my reading buddy for the evening. He is unimpressed with my reading aloud to him, though. #catsoflitsy
A little over 100 pages left. Gonna try to finish this one tonight...
And now...
A delightful culinary cozy filled with hilarious puns (see description), beautiful descriptions of Seattle during the Fall season, and amazingly detailed food imagery that will leave you aching for comfort food. The mystery is cute too. A lovely palate cleanser for some of the less savory reading I've been simmering through. See what I did there? ☕️💀👌🏼
