Jeannineth It must be hard to be in law enforcement. I would think addiction, violence, and suicide are prevalent. I read The Snowman last year and enjoy Harry Hole but have not picked up another book by this author. 6y

alisiakae @Jeannineth I have been reading the series in order the last few months. And what you say is so true...addiction is more prevalent in high-stress jobs. My husband is a surgeon, and the healthcare field has one of the highest rates of drug and alcohol abuse as far as professions go. 6y

Did the twice daily walk to and from school today, and one power yoga class. Hoping to reach my daily 10,000 step goal by the end of the night while putting away laundry. š Didn‘t listen to my #audiobook today, but I did spend a lot of time reading the tagged book.

And had a really great sleep last night! I almost never get that much sleep.

I am really liking this one, mainly because Nesbø brought Rakel and Oleg back into the story. #seriesread

It's a while since my last journey into the world of harry hole. This was ok for a holiday read as harry returns to oslo when his former lovers son is accused of a murder. the plot was good but towards the end i simply couldn't believe his survival skills.

Reggie Last summer, I took on the series because I wanted to go watch the movie, The Snowman. I made it all through the series to The Snowman, and then I didn‘t watch the movie. Lololol I do think he is a bit sexist. 6y

Last night i took a photo of four books i have lined up for October including the next in the harry hole series in much anticipation of The Snowman with fassbender. Then i noticed the four books are from Sweden and Russia definitely places i want to visit.

I've been listening to this audiobook for a couple of weeks. Kind of slow-moving and the multiple POV are a little confusing when the narrator doesn't use different voices.

hlgreenfield I love Jo Nesbo and his Harry Hole books, but they do move slowly in the beginning and are almost always super confusion until very late in the story. Still some of my favourite crime novels though! 8y

Daga I totally agree. Undoubtedly very well crafted series and all off the books are difficult to put down, not to mention what a fabulous character Harry is, but the one thing is the build up. If it could take less than 80% of the story and be a little quicker with revealing potential killer/killers Mr Nesbo would be wonderful š 7y
