pickI rarely listen to audiobooks, but make exceptions for memoirs read by the person. I love Randy Rainbow, and hearing him tell the story of his journey from a chubby, awkward kid to YouTube sensation and star of satirical political parodies set to the music of Broadway show tunes was a rollicking ride. He‘s funny & self-effacing, and his brutally honest take on Trump and the GOP makes me LOL. Also loved the stories about his grandmother, Nanny.

I can only keep so much fiction in my mind. I can either read one fiction and watch a few shows or read more fiction and watch lots of HGTV or magnolia network for a while. At the same time I'm listening to audiobooks, always nonfiction. Or podcasts.
Getting into this on audio, finally. Also began dismantling my garden for the season. Going to overwinter a tomato plant and see how that goes. #gardening #litsygardens

The man has a way with words and his comedy is right up my alley.
This did feel like a glossing over of big things. Almost like he didn‘t want to scare people off.
4.9 only because of the crying and lack of depth in places.
Highly recommend especially if you are a fan of his.

I have tried to avoid sad books the last several weeks. We had to make the hard decision to say goodbye to our beloved 13 year old pug Dizzy last month. So I erected a fence around my grief. Unfortunately what I thought were safe books turned out to be outlets for some of the sadness. Books telling me I needed to do something different. Life is funny like that. Unlikely Animals mentioned a “dog sized hole in a heart” mine is pug sized. 💜
Who knew that the man who has brought so many tears of laughter to my eyes, would make me cry?
“Somewhere Only We Know” - When you get to that part, you might understand why.
