An enjoyable friends-to-lovers romance. I liked both MCs but I wanted to scream at them both “just admit your feelings for each other!”

This is one of two friends to lovers romance books I‘ve ever enjoyed. It is believable because the female MC was believable.
Lizzy moves into a small town and starts volunteering at a local indie bookstore to try to restore herself. Her best friend since childhood is trying to find a new path for himself and to figure out how convince Lizzy to fall in love with him.
3/5 believable romance, believable characters, and a whole lot of love for books
I needed a break from the fantasy genre for a bit, so I chose this book because books and puns. While I thought it was cute, it wasn‘t a book I‘d rave about like other romance novels I‘ve read. It did however make me consider quitting my job to run a bookstore.
The book has THIS COVER and the first chapter is about a lawyer having a panic attack during her first trial. I feel lied to, betrayed, and bamboozled.
Here are my #Roll100 picks for February. I think the cover for Booked on a Feeling is perfect for this month 😊

When my drink and book match - it‘s a peach kombucha from Teazen
Lizzy decides to take a vacation. She stays in the same town as her best friend Jack, who‘s secretly in love with her. She starts realizing her feelings for Jack when renovating a bookstore. Will they have the guts to tell each other how they feel?
It was a cute book. I liked the plot, the humor, & the diversity in the characters. I didn‘t like how it was written. There were unnecessary repetitions and observations throughout the book.
Thank you @Amandajoy for my #WinterWonderlandSwap box! The candle smells absolutely delicious! I love the hat and am so excited about the books! Thank you!

Attorney Lizzy Chung is burnt out, so she leaves her life in LA to visit her best friend in the small town of Weldon where he works at his family's brewery. Lizzy lives out one of her dreams and helps the local bookstore owner revamp her store, while realizing her relationship with Jack is beginning to change. It's another fun book in the Sweet Mess series.

Cute book, great addition to the Sweet Mess family! Tbh, not sure if any of the books will top book 1, but I‘m loving the follow up on the family. I cannot wait for Alex‘s story next.
Slim #weeklyforecast.
Booked on a feeling is slow burn friends to lovers at a snail pace. Not so good so far.
I did get Alexis Hall's upcoming sequel to Boyfriend material. It's coming out on August 2nd. Hence I need to either finish Booked or give up on it.

Goal : complete the 2021-2022 ARC pile
A friends-to-lovers romance with a strong theme of self-discovery. Lizzy should be on a high after a huge professional milestone, instead she feels empty and adrift. To regroup, she abandons the big city for a quiet vacation in the small town her best friend, Jack, lives in. While there, Lizzy finds herself helping a struggling bookstore find new footing with Jack‘s help. The humor was fun and I couldn‘t help cheering for a successful HEA.

A Cute and funny romance or I thought so
Booked on a Feeling was a really cute, friends-to-lovers romance, and it's enjoyable that most of the story involved working on revamping a bookstore. It's more appealing than having two friends hang out over a break, having them compete in a contest together or what not. But what's romance without pining? Watching Lizzy and Jack misinterpret each other's actions and delay their inevitable love was truly painful, but it definitely had me hooked.
