#BookReport - a solid week, greatly assisted by reading a relaxing fluff series & the tagged book, which was my favorite of the week (& a reread). I also finished the travel guide for Brazil & some of the knowledge I picked up there about geography especially is helping me out with my current read, also for #FoodandLit, Ways to Disappear, which I started last night. An odd but fast read so far.

Pickpick

Although this one wasn't on my January TBR (surprise surprise haha) I just couldn't resist reading it after rereading Sorcery & Cecelia for #LMPBC at the end of December. Here, the four main characters from the first book have just been married & are heading off on a wedding tour around the continent. Magical shenanigans ensue. I don't love this one quite as much as the first, but it is still a solid read that I thoroughly enjoyed. Definitely ⬇️

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) recommend to my fellow #LMPBC members if you end up enjoying Sorcery & Cecelia. I somehow don't own the third book?? So I may have spent some of my #PennyperPage money to order a used copy from eBay yesterday 😂

TheSpineView 👍📖📚 3y
Lauredhel @TheAromaofBooks \o/ also Englandtimes plus magical shenanigans is one of my happy places. Have you read the Glamourist Histories? 3y
TheAromaofBooks @GinaKButler - I've conveniently been accumulating random prompts all last year because I wanted to make my own bingo boards each month in 2021 & then I saw @Clwojick's challenge so I mayyyy have put 52 of them on cards 😂 The other deck I used a random word generator because I saw someone else do that & thought it was a fun idea. My next ones are “weather-related disaster“ & “parallel“... 3y
TheAromaofBooks @Lauredhel - Um no, but now I am definitely going to do so - they sound perfect!! 3y
Cinfhen Yay!!! 3y
Chrissyreadit Ha! I just discovered I own the third book- so the second book must be around here somewhere. 3y
TheAromaofBooks @Chrissyreadit - I really find it odd that I wouldn't have purchased the third book so it's possible that I loaned it to my sister, in which case I'll probably never see it again anyway. 😂 My new used copy was less than $5 so I think it was worth the investment. 3y
Lauredhel @TheAromaofBooks omg you are in for a TREAT. First book is Shades of Milk and Honey 3y
GinaKButler @TheAromaofBooks I like it! I did classics on 52 cards. I‘ve pulled 5 so far for this year, but we‘ll see how many I get through! 3y
Read-y_Picker YAY Thank you for this! I found that I've got the series just sitting in my Kindle app, like what am I waiting for?! 😄 3y
TheAromaofBooks @Read-y_Picker - they're really fast reads, too. The first book is letters between Kate & Cecelia & the authors explain in the afterword how originally they were just writing the letters for fun, just as a game, & only decided to make it into a book when they realized they had written a story 😂 3y
Clwojick You‘re crushing it! ♥️ 3y
Lizpixie Nice work🙌 3y

Thanks for the tag @Cupcake12 !!

1. Christmas decorations are down - time for winter decorations to go up!!
2. Chipotle's lime chips
3. Meals, even though that's supposed to be a bad habit 😂

#MotivationalMonday

Want to play @AmyK1 @Jerdencon @veritysalter ?

KateReadsYA Lime chips are so addictive 3y
Cupcake12 @TheAromaofBooks I took our dec‘s down and everywhere looks so bare. I‘ve never tried lime chips! Thank you for playing x 3y
TheAromaofBooks @KateReadsYA - Sometimes they're just like “oh these are good“ but every once in a while they are somehow the most amazing combination of lime & salt & that's what these were 😂 3y
TheAromaofBooks @Cupcake12 - a while ago I realized that our (small) house felt kind of cluttered but I was actually rather emotionally attached to most of our knickknacks and didn't want to get rid of them. So I divided them up into seasons (even though most of them aren't actually seasonal) & rotate them through the year. It keeps things fresh, gave the shelves some breathing room, & makes me actually REALLY dust at least 4x a year 😂 3y

Final report for the #AnyWayYouReadathon - I was 126 pages short of my goal, but finished two books and am about halfway through these two. I've been learning loads about Brazil for #foodandlit & enjoying a reread of the tagged book. I got a little distracted by the Browns/Steelers game yesterday which went even better than I had dared hope 😂 Thanks for hosting @kimmypete1 @Eggbeater @MidnightBookGirl !!

@Butterfinger @Texreader

Butterfinger I have learned so much about Brazil. Love it. 3y
mhillis Go Browns!! 3y
Eggbeater Nice job! 👏👏👏 3y

TheAromaofBooks @Butterfinger - I kept giving my husband odd Brazil facts all day yesterday 😂 I'm really enjoying the travel guide, but need something slightly more detailed for future countries, I think. Still, there is some good overview information & it's given me loads of things to look up for more pictures! 3y
TheAromaofBooks @mhillis - It's been a long time coming! 😂 3y
TheAromaofBooks @Eggbeater - Thank you!!! 3y
Suet624 Congrats!!!

kimmypete1 Thanks for joining! The Browns game was late for me (east coast time 🙄) but I checked right before bed and was blown away by the score! Pitt was overrated anyway. #GoBrowns (But really #GoPackGo, I just appreciate the browns getting some after so long🤣). (edited) 3y
RamsFan1963 @kimmypete1 A Packers/Browns Super Bowl would be so cool and old school, but I don't think Baker Mayfield can lead the team past the twin buzz saws that are the Bills and the Chiefs. 3y
TheAromaofBooks @kimmypete1 - I'm also on EST but we persevered & stayed up waaaayyy past our bedtime 😂 @RamsFan1963 I'm completely confident that the Browns will lose in the next game (this must be your constant assumption as a Browns fan lol), but it was a nice feeling to finally beat Big Ben on his home turf. 3y
RamsFan1963 @TheAromaofBooks Big Ben looked like he was going to cry last night 🤣🤣🤣 3y
TheAromaofBooks @RamsFan1963 - I honestly have a soft heart so the hardest part about sports for me is seeing how sad the losers are at the end!! Although I probably would have felt like crying, too, if I had thrown that many interceptions 😬 3y
kimmypete1 @TheAromaofBooks I totally get not wanting to set yourself up for disappointment, but it was a big win this weekend. Not directly related, but Baker Mayfields commercials are my absolute fave this year. 3y
TheAromaofBooks @kimmypete1 - I don't know why he's so adorable. Those commercials crack me up! 3y
kimmypete1 @TheAromaofBooks I love them. I also really identify with the grocery one. I've always been a “one trip into the house even if I lose feeling in my arms“ kind of girl. 😂 3y

#WeeklyForecast - rereading Sorcery & Cecelia last week made me want to revisit the sequel as well, so I am reading the tagged book along with the Brazil travel guide right now - the guide + Ways to Disappear are for #foodandlit. The next book is Alice in Wonderland for #fairytalereadingchallenge - I actually haven't read this one since high school so I am looking forward to the reread. The titles on the post-it are Kindle books - Miss Eleanor⬇️

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) Tileny for #PemberLittens & THEN I am on to actual books from my “real“ TBR instead of my “assigned“ TBR 😂 Although I will still also have 2 #LMPBC books at some point - the post office has somewhat messed up our schedule but I'm confident they'll arrive someday haha Trying to get as much reading in this month as I can before I start working again February...

Cinfhen What fruits are arriving in February???? 3y
TheAromaofBooks @Cinfhen - haha it's actually my OTHER seasonal job - in the spring I work at a greenhouse!! We mostly grow herbs for wholesale to larger garden centers (although we have a small, seasonal retail area) & since herbs take a while to grow, our season starts early. We've already been sticking cuttings in December & January, but that's usually only a few hours a week. In February we'll start transplanting those & seeding ones we grow from seed. 3y

Cinfhen Ahhhhhh!!!! Herbs are cool!! My daughter works for an urban farm company/ they grow herbs and different lettuces on rooftops in several states 3y
TheAromaofBooks @Cinfhen - That's so fun!!! I love the herbs - everything smells amazing all the time - we have one greenhouse that's just for rosemary & lavender & it's my FAVE! Another greenhouse is almost entirely basil & it's my second favorite but the basil doesn't smell as strongly unless you're actually handling it, plus basil loves it HOT so that greenhouse is always a million degrees 😂 3y
Cinfhen I know my daughter‘s company definitely grows basil 🌿 and it‘s SOOOOOOO GOOD 3y
Cinfhen My daughter works in HR but she needs to go to the greenhouses pretty often💚 3y
Charityann Looks like a good stack! 😊 3y

I‘ve just joined the app and am in the early parts of The Grand Tour. It is already rapidly silly and full of intrigue. I‘m a bit uncomfortable with the ages if the girls and them being suddenly married, but at probably appropriate for the time setting? To be fair, I have also no taken the time to double check. It‘s still all very enjoyable.

I read the first in the series a long time ago and immediately bought the second, this volume, which sits on my shelf unread. Kate and Cecy are #besties and cousins who love adventure. YA book. And with the authors, you'll know there will be a little bit of fantasy thrown into the mix. #sizzlinsummerbooks
