In #russia in 2012 five members of Pussy Riot went into a church & sang a punk song in protest of the church telling its members to vote for Putin. Three members were arrested & charged with “felony hooliganism motivated by religious hatred,” and this book was written/compiled while they were in prison. Very scary.

Damn these women are inspiring! This is a mix of letters from prison, poetry and court transcripts. These are the sort of people I look up to in a big way and embody the true spirit of punk.
Here‘s a great interview from on of them https://bust.com/feminism/19271-from-russia-with-love-nadya-interview.html on resisting trump.
I used this for #readharder2019 book written in prison prompt.
Last batch of photos from the #WomensMarch today! I won't ever forget it.

I got my wisdom teeth extracted yesterday so I'm spending today vicariously marching by looking out for the protest posters I made for my friends on the news and social media. Rooting for all my #NastyWomen and Men representing out on the streets today! 😘 #WomensMarch #WhyIMarch #WomensMarchOnWashington #lettering #signpainting
