I do not want to finish this book. But it has a 4 star rating on Goodreads which is very hard to come by. I know the general advice os that life is too short, blah blah blah. But I am asking people who have read this why they kept reading. Thanks.

All caught up! And honestly if this were the last entry in the series, I'd be happy with the ending.
Stoker and Veronica have their HEA, not the conventional married with babies kind, but the devoted, loving, fully accepting and supportive and communicative kind where they are still clearly individuals with their own interests. 1/?
Do you suppose she thinks she's reassuring him? Or purposefully winding him up? 🤭
This was ok but it lacked the swift storytelling and charm of her other books.
“Memory is an unreliable, meretricious hussy…”
Even so, I don‘t recall owning a cat.
Starting the latest Veronica Speedwell audiobook. It has become an automatic buy for me; more because of the narrator, whom I love, than the series. I tire of series easily so it is amazing I am still following Veronica‘s adventures.
Flew through the #audiobook today.
Veronica and Stoker needed some help to find the culprit and the identity of the victim. They might not have been at the height of their game, but it was an entertaining adventure nonetheless.
It didn't sound like this would be the last adventure either. 🥳🥳

The newest installment in the adventures of Veronica and Stoker - this one has all the banter and the adventure one expects plus shades of a good Frankensteinesque story. It was a fun read as usual!
I‘ve been AWOL for what feels like forever; very depressed, dealing with hubby‘s medical issues. But reading this really picked me up. I love this series. Great characters, Raybourn‘s always fantastic dialogue, and a fascinating premise kept me hooked. Definitely recommend, even if you haven‘t read the earlier books in the series.
Now starting the newest Victoria Speedwell mystery.🕵♀🦋
Book 9 in Veronica Speedwell series. Love this series! This one was perfect: intriguing mystery, fast pace, fun banter.
Jasper the cat rarely sits on my lap, but he joined me while I finished this book.
Always fun spending time with Veronica Speedwell and Stoker—their adventures are always entertaining and full of surprises. This series is a consistently reliable read that doesn‘t disappoint. And with secondary characters like Mornaday and J.J. getting more time on the page, the world keeps expanding with more opportunities for complexity, shenanigans, and who knows what. As expected, it‘s a pick.
“In their latest adventure, Veronica and Stoker discover that a wax figure of a woman that ends up in their possession isn‘t wax at all – but rather a damsel who has met a sinister end.
The crime-solving duo must figure out who killed the maiden before anyone else meets a similar fate.”

Just in…and I know what I‘m reading tonight! Or maybe even right now…
Always happy to be back with Veronica and Stoker. I love that this time around they seem to comfortable in their personal lives that it kind of makes everything else seem rather ease. Which is really refreshing. The mystery itself is very intriguing and mixed with some truly hilarious moments and it's one of the lighter entries in the series. Just sad I read it too quickly.
