Can‘t put this book down!! These mozzarella pepperoni rolls aren‘t bad either!!
I have loved Lauren Willig‘s other books - The Pink Carnation series and others. This one didn‘t disappoint. It wove the timelines in and out and gave some surprises. The ending was quick, but not too quick. It left you with questions and don‘t you love that about a book. You keep thinking of it days after you finish. Well done, I say. #BookSpinBingo #10
2020 #26 I enjoyed this book for the most part. The ending felt a bit rushed. As if the author ran out of time and threw something together to wrap it up.
I loved this book. The story did not go in the direction I thought it was going. I fell in love with the characters, especially Clemmie, Addie and Bea. This is the second book I have read by Willig and I feel I need to read more by her.
#Happiness is discovering new authors you adore. This year, I discovered Lauren Willig and Beatriz Williams. It‘s also wonderful to get to know some Littens a little more, especially @CouronneDhiver , through buddy reads of Willig‘s books (I‘m nearly done with The Glass Ocean!!). #gratitude30
This was my first book by Willig and will not be the last! A quietly written book that spans two time eras, it‘s a historical fiction about family, love, and with an added mystery. It‘s pretty easy to guess how the story unfolds, but Willig does such a lovely job keeping the reader interested that it‘s fun to see how the characters will take the clues.
Thanks to everyone who participated in #AshfordRead and especially to @CouronneDhiver !
This was so good! I love the way she tells the story with the alternating timelines. And I loved the way the story resolved at the end. (No spoilers here!). Thanks for hosting, @Librarybelle and @CouronneDhiver ! #AshfordRead
This sat on my TBR for years and that was a mistake. This is a beautiful novel about family secrets. ❤️
First book finished of #24in28.

Finished week three‘s reading for the #AshfordRead , after an unexpected lazy morning with #Vladimir and #Zeke . I took the day off to prepare for #24in48 tomorrow, but somehow spent the entire morning draped in cats and lost in Kenya and New York. So lovely... #catsoflitsy
#AshfordRead readers - we‘re into Week 3! How is everyone doing? Any thoughts on the book so far? I‘m loving it - the writing style, the past and present narrative, the dash of intrigue. Happy Reading!
Hooray...finished this week‘s section for #AshfordRead ! Such an interesting, interwoven story between early twentieth and late twentieth century...

Delicious veggie wrap with potato salad. Finished this weeks reading; feeling like I want to read on... waiting for my son who started working today at the Willimantic Textile Museum. What an excuse to read! After he is done heading back to Hartford Hospital to get My husband to eye surgery later this afternoon. Need a little respite!
Slowly catching up on this weeks section of #ashfordread.
Happy Friday Littens!
#AhsfordRead readers: hope all is well! The schedule says we should be into the second segment of the book, but no worries if you are not!
What do think of the book so far? I‘m enjoying it!
This week, we‘re reading through Chapter 12.
I have to go back to work tomorrow after 9 days off.
I'm already mourning my love for morning workouts, lake time with family, and mid afternoon gardening sessions and snuggles.
This one has been on my TBR for yearssss. Starting it tonight in hopes of catching up with the #ashfordread

“After seven hours in the air, Clemmie knew she looked worse than her suitcase...”
Clemmie seems rushed & disheveled quite a bit, her appearance mirroring her life.
Finished the first segment of #AshfordRead . I‘m really enjoying it so far! Nice, easy historical fiction, perfect reading for this time of year. @CouronneDhiver
We‘re a week away from the #AshfordRead ! I‘m so excited to #buddyread this with @CouronneDhiver ...anyone wish to join us? It‘s a no pressure buddy read, with the suggested reading schedule posted above. Join anytime!

A friend asked for a recommendation for something "light and kind of romantic". I went with this, since she didn't want to commit to the whole Pink Carnation series. ?
