 bailed
bailedNope! This book is too Gatiss for me. Even in translation, it has all the annoying rhythm of a Gatiss teleplay and the historical shortcuts of a tv show. On top of that, the translator converted all Her Majesty's Imperial measurements to metric. In a book taking place in late 19th-c London. Congnitive dissonance does not even begin to explain it. Not for me!
