Mary Bennet gets her own story in this post Pride and Prejudice adaptation. It‘s a sweet story and one that makes you hopeful that the Mary in Austen‘s world did not forever remain the wallflower. Mingle writes the male “love interest” of Mr Walsh with baggage from his youth, so not a perfect character, by Regency standards, and that works well. #2013 #19822022

Such a strange, whimsical, thoughtful, meditation in book form. Written from two perspectives, a teen living in Japan and an author living on a remote Canadian island a decade-ish apart, this exploration of time and space is a bit woo-woo at times but interesting and highly readable.
