The Halloween festival has taken over the town & Meg is in charge of the Goblin Patrol, citizen security. Dr. Smoot, the vampire-loving former medical examiner, is back with his home serving as Caerphilly history museum - and haunted house. 😆 Between the vampire LARPers, trouble at Grandfather‘s zoo, and the twins‘ demand that Tinkerbell and Spike have costumes, Meg has her hands full! Then someone starts a rogue scavenger hunt that turns deadly…

Librarybelle Yay!! 4mo
Gissy I will try the first book in this long series 4mo
mabell @Gissy Oh I hope you do! It‘s my favorite modern cozy series! Quirky, lighthearted, and very well-written! 4mo

Grace survived a traumatic situation and is reminded of the horror when she discovers her boss dead. Soon, a stalker has her in their sights. She quickly retreats to her hometown, where she meets Julius. This romantic suspense holds some surprises. Krentz is a great storyteller, and I wanted to keep listening to this one. Definitely a good one! #192025 #2015

This was a light and fun read for the Christmas season, and I think some of the characters could grow on me if I were to read more in the series, but I found the mystery itself a bit dull. I prefer Vicki Delany's Smith and Winters mystery series.

Librarybelle I liked this, but I am hoping that there is character growth in future books in the series. I have the next few on my shelves, but have yet to read them. 1y

This is a painting of the Lusitania, a luxury passenger ship which was sunk by a German torpedo in 1915. It was called a “Greyhound” because of its‘ speed. The book follows the story of Captain Turner, the German U-boat and many passengers. Fascinating information, although,at times, the nautical facts went over my head! Political intrigue.President Wilson‘s pursuit of his second wife added a respite from the devastation.#booked2022 #nauticaltheme

sprainedbrain I love that book. ❤️ 2y
rubyslippersreads I found this fascinating. I was also surprised to read about Captain von Trapp from The Sound of Music. 2y

5 ⭐ and a new series!

Raising awareness to this series to both @Andrew65 (if you haven't read them yet), and @sprainedbrain as there's lots of pagan stuff - book #2 continues the theme as it's set during the summer solstice.

jenniferw88 ⬆️ Although I'm not sure how the author is going to work in the other sabbats/esbats/other pagan stuff after book 2. Definitely one series to keep reading! #witchy 2y
TrishB Sounds good 👍🏻 2y

jenniferw88 Looking at @Andrew65 's comments on @Itchyfeetreader 's review of the book, I think the pagan stuff must disappear @sprainedbrain . It definitely helps knowing a bit about paganism! 2y
sprainedbrain This does sound interesting! Though, kind of a bummer that the paganism disappears. 😉 2y
Andrew65 I love this series, although the paganism disappears after the first few. The series though only gets better. @jenniferw88 @Sprainedbrain 2y
Tove_Reads @andrew65 is always raving about how good these are, so I guess I‘ll have to start buying these books, since my library doesn‘t have them. 2y
Andrew65 @Tove_Reads if you are on Kindle Unllimited or are able to take a free trial of Kindle Unlimited, here you can get them for free. I‘m sure you‘ll enjoy them. Its one series (I am up to date on). 2y

This is written before the Heartstopper series so I guess Osman has known where she wanted this to end.

Nick is leaving for university and Charlie still has one more year left. It‘s the end of the school year and the beginning of summer, and the boys start to think about their relationship.

Librarybelle I need to read the Heartstopper series! 2y

Need a fast, hilarious, mystery series to read? This one is fantastic and all 5 books are included in your audible membership. Henry Bins is only awake an hour a day and in the first book, he witnesses a murder that he must solve. He develops a laugh out loud relationship with a cat and works to solve a mystery with only an hour a day. Can‘t wait for the next book this summer! #19822022 #2013 #2014 #2015 #2016 #doublespin #february

Haile Selassie was the Ethiopian emperor from 1930 to 1975 when he was assassinated in a military coup. This biography was written by his nephew, and unfortunately I have to say that is not the most objective written. The author is, in a way, inappropriate opinionated on previous works and publications about the King of Kings, and conveniently omits/briefly mentions the main reason why the coup took place - a famine that already had dimensions …👇

Simona … as we know them from the time of Band Aid. Selassie undoubtedly strived for the development and progress of his country, but that does not mean that he was a good leader ... but he was undoubtedly an interesting person. 👇 2y
Simona And another interesting fact - Selassie is the messiah of the Rastafarian movement and is still worshiped today as the incarnation of God. Despite the author's bias, the book is an interesting read that opens a window into Ethiopian history, customs, beliefs ... 2y

BarbaraBB Interesting!! I read a book in which he played a role too 2y
Librarybelle Oh! Lots of challenge prompts accomplished with this one! 2y
Simona @BarbaraBB He was interesting person, full of contradictories, and so bad for Ethiopia. 2y
Simona @Librarybelle I‘m always very pleased with myself, when that happens 😁 2y

St James is crazy good at spooky stories, and this one is another great example of her work. Psychics and murder and mystery and of course danger are all related to this novel. Won‘t say more because of the #SundayBuddyRead , but this is definitely another winner! #19822022 #2015

It wasn't love at the first sight but the more I got into it, the more I felt this was the right book for me, at just the right moment.
While reading it, I had lots of ‘aha‘ moments - I've learned more about emotional life and I'm sure I'm going to be consulting it again in the future "on-demand".
