July BOTM picks are live!

What are we thinking?!

I saw the picks on instagram yesterday and knew it was going to be a skip for me!

CoffeeK8 Nothing really jumping out at me, I usually get the romances, but not sure about this one. 7h
JamieArc There were a couple off add-ons that I really wanted so while I wasn‘t particularly interested in any of them, I went with Among Friends. I feel like there isn‘t often portrayal of good male friendships so I have hopes for that. 7h
AmyG I got Amoung Friends. Same @JamieArc 7h

bookish_wookish Same for me with thrillers. @CoffeeK8 7h
Kitta I skipped 🤷🏻‍♀️ 6h
Eggs I chose Finding Grace 6h
Aims42 I skipped ⏭️ I would‘ve ordered Adriana Trigiani‘s newest but none of the picks intrigued me enough to use my credit on 5h
Gissy Still deciding to choose Megan Miranda book or These Summer Storms, I‘m a fan of family dramas 😳😂😂😂 4h

I really enjoyed this book but didn't realize until the end that we wouldn't get a wrap up some key points and that there would be a sequel... that doesn't seem to be out yet.

But I did enjoy this one.... it felt kinda like cozy fantasy but with distinctly more plot than they normally have. Will definitely pick up the sequel and I dearly hope Sybilla shows up again.

a beautiful story filled with amazing scenery, a Grumpy gardener, an Ex-librarian who never stops talking, and their journey to overcome their traumas and save an amazing greenhouse, as well as a greenhouse full of talking plants! beautifully written and narrated, this was even better than the first in my personal opinion. i loved everything about it! the narrator was amazing too! a fantastic cozy fantasy!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

3.75 stars. A magical bedtime story sprinkled with humor, comfort, and golden dust. I‘ll admit this book could have been edited down, but I also can‘t deny it was a cozy, dreamy, hug of a book that I looked forward to disappearing back into each night.

So cozy and imaginative! Terlu is imprisoned as a statue for creating a sentient plant, then finds herself at the cusp of needing to perform more magic to save the enchanted greenhouse and the dreams of the grumpy lone Gardner who still tends them

Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I can‘t wait for this one! 7d
FeatherV @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I hope you enjoy it! It was so good! 6d

I hate that this book was just ok for me. I LOVED Legends and Lattes, so maybe my expectations were too high. I loved Fern, Potroast, and Satchel, but the rest was just…ok.

This is the rest of my reading pile for June. Can I finish it? We'll see. An awful lot of this month was taken up by manga, but I've still made a sizeable dent in the novels I'd put aside to read.
