For April's #SeasonalCozies @julieclair I went back to Hygge Hideaway Book 4. It was kind of repetitive. Book 5 is set in summer so I searched my Audible a discovered Death in English Cottage. I've read the 1st in Series awhile back. Features Location Scout for Jane Austen Movie. It's specifically set in Spring. 🥀
April @booklyapp monthly report. 19 books total. There were several buddy reads this month along with reading challenges. Overall, I enjoyed all these books and most were either four or five stars for me.

This has been my least favorite in the series. Mrs. Hooper dies mysteriously and all of the neighbors in Finch suspect one another, but protect one another because they did not like Mrs. Hooper (big gossip and trouble maker). Lori (MC) is out to find the truth with the help of Nicholas Fox, the vicars nephew. I still like the characters but in this one Lori has a “wandering eye“ for Nicholas, her husband accepts it, nothing happens but ⬇️
panI‘ve had the Martha‘s Vineyard mystery series on my to read list for years, so thought I would take advantage of listening to the first one through my Audible membership. Oh boy…not for me!
Victoria I think is supposed to represent the stereotypical “crusty” New Englander - hardy, sarcastic, and set in one‘s way. I never warmed to her, and the harbor master continuously calling her sweetheart was not endearing. Sad to pan, but it felt like ⬇️
OK, I think this will be my May pick for #SeasonalCozies as it is set during Memorial Day. It also meets my criteria for being first in a series (Nantucket Candle Maker Mystery) & cheap/free (it‘s on Kindle Unlimited).

My #SeasonalCozies pick for May is The Cornish Wedding Murder, because our wedding anniversary takes place in May, and we will be visiting Cornwall! 💍👰🤵♂️🇬🇧
