Readathon Snacks. Don‘t cancel me but yes candy corn and pickles. I wanted to do like a candy corn filled pickle but that was a lot to commit to so I give you candy corn lily pads. Don‘t knock it till you try it 😂 #deweysoct25 #deweys24hourreadathon

12 words found in my reading so far for #SpookyStacks counting toward #BlackCatCrew! I think the ones that surprised me most were owl (because I thought “hm, that may be a pretty specific word I‘ll have to actively look for” and turned the page and there it was in a short story in Amplitudes!) and mischief (found in the tagged while talking to mischief the inn caused).
I‘m working on tallying points now. @PuddleJumper @BookwormAHN
The premise of solving mysteries with a ghost librarian sounded great but it didn't live up to that for me. The ghost librarian Evelyn pops in sometimes but isn't the main part of it. It was good enough though that I want to read the next book. I do hope the ghost aspect is a bigger part of the story though.
I read this for my book club, and it was a cozy, lesson heavy story with very endearing characters. I wasn't drawn in quickly but then read the rest in one day. It is a heartwarming story about found family with romance, so that's always a comfort read in these times.
Did anyone else get their booksleeve for completing the reading challenge? I love it but neither of the books I got fit in it!
I am enjoying the pointed editing by a previous reader. I don‘t condone writing in library books, but I admit I am enjoying seeing an other reader catch some editing mistakes!
Went to the library & checked out a few mysteries hoping to get me reading. Now I am relaxing in my “ reading” loveseat & enjoying wine & cheese. Happy Friday!!!#FridayHappyReadingHour
This was such a delightful cozy mystery & really just matched my mood perfectly! (It's set in summer near Vancouver but the warm sunny weather with cool breezes are what we've got going on here currently & really set the tone)
Intriguing murder to solve, fun well-written characters to meet, & a lovely new small town to fall for! I appreciated that the MC & police chief are queer so I'm looking forward to a slow burn romance in the series to follow
