Mother‘s Day free books haul!
We were on our way to my mom‘s and a neighbor had things out in their driveway with a “Free” sign. I spotted stacks of books and immediately pulled in. 😅 There was a good selection but either they weren‘t for me or I already had them. But these three! The tagged has been on my wishlist for a bit. I love that there are post-it bookmarks left in by the previous owner. I can spy what crafts caught their interest. 🤣

pan2/5⭐ Very bloated, repetitive, surface-level text. Appropriates things like chakras, spirit animals, and mojo bags. Cites freaking Silver RavenWolf. Pretends to be general witchcraft when it's clearly Wicca. The projects are mostly very basic. I like the idea of incorporating witchcraft into fibercraft, but this book didn't inspire me or give me any ideas I couldn't figure out on my own with just a moment's thought.
so-soAnd another art… this one feels not at ALL daring until the end, which keeps it real. Good poetry analysis. Restlessness of desire, restlessness of boredom. How daring relates to norms, knowledge, loss of self, understanding of risk. Revelation, confession, shame.
