This is a classic! I love the question Penelope has at the start: how many teeth will her classmates have? Is that foreshadowing? It seems too obvious. Like "Where are you going with that axe?". What's the literary device? Maybe it's just foreshadowing, but I think it needs more E.B. White significance.

This would be a great practice for students identifying the plot of a story. You could also come up with many great prompts for students to write about.

Week 3: Graphia. these are a classic. Especially the new and revised ones. The stories are so good and engaging. It also provides illustrations to help students gauge a better understanding of the story. The ones I looked at were a Graphic Novel Verison by Jenny Laird, but I didn‘t see them posted on Litsy. Published: Sept. 27, 2022.

You all! This book is an experience! I listened to the audio production while reading a physical copy with illustrations. You'll miss out if you only do one or the other! I didn't expect a story of two sycamore seed siblings to be so epic. I'm rarely emotionally moved by a book, but this one did it! 🙌🏼

Illustrations in the book are very colorful for children. As well as explain how we have dinosaurs in museums (for students who may have not had experiences explaining what museums are. As well as history of dinosaurs at an early learning level that is simple.

"A fossil shows the traces or remains of animals and plants that lived 10,000 or more years ago. A fossil can be a rock with a preserved part of an extinct animal or the imprint of an ancient plant. By studying fossils, we can learn a lot about prehistoric life."

Because of the wordless element of this book, teachers can prompt student engagement by asking students to describe what they think is happening in the story.
