The first few chapters I was skeptical but I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. Female friendships are complicated and adult life is hard!
Can't remember it that well, but at the time it was ok.
This month‘s #bookclub pick led to a lively discussion! Revolving around grief, this details the brief but devoted marriage between Josh & Lauren. Told in his perspective moving forward from her funeral & hers moving back to the start of their relationship, this structure frustrated me at times because I wanted a stronger foundation for their relationship to share in the grief. But I loved the concept of the letters & tasks— an engaging listen!
Definitely in the minority on this book, but I lost interest halfway through. I didn‘t connect with any of the characters and the “I don‘t like this” vibes started to outweigh the “I love this!” vibes. #HailtheBail 🚀

Cheers to the weekend!! 🍻📖🎉 I made it to 5 o‘clock 😅
5 ⭐️ I am both a New Englander *and* a fan of baseball generally/Red Sox specifically, so it wasn‘t a stretch to think that I would enjoy this. Still: while baseball‘s longest game is at its core (without that game, the thread of the book that ties all the individuals together would not exist), this book is less about baseball and more about humanity, humility, and our humble existence on this earth. Every person has a story, friends. ⚾️
Add me to the list of folks who didn‘t expect to like this book based on the cover. 😆
Phoebe is deeply depressed when she walks out of her job and books one night at a fancy hotel on the Rhode Island coast. She finds she is the only person in the hotel who isn‘t part of a wedding. She meets the bride in the elevator, and her plans start to go awry.
Funny and quirky, I really enjoyed it. Great narration too. Thanks for the recommendation!
