I‘m glad I finally read this one. It‘s been on my shelf for a long time. It hit hard and showed how quickly life and circumstances can change. Will you look away, will you be persistent in helping, will you see past the first level and look deeper?

#ShelfSweeper Day 19 thanks @Andrew65 and @Tove_Reads for encouraging us to clear off our shelves this month! Not sure how it‘s the 19th already but here we are. Just need to get through a few more days of work then a glorious three day weekend with no plans!
It was a gorgeous day here with the bluest of blue skies. Perfect for reading outside.

I‘m in Nebraska with Alexandra Bergson and family as they try to farm and prosper while so many of their neighbors fail and move back to the cities to try their luck.
This is also the fourth book on deck for the #ShelfSweeper readathon. 😊
#ShelfSweeper Day 18 was kind of a bust. I just didn‘t have any concentration for reading. Did get out for yummy Thai food and had some good conversations with the the kids. Enough of the real world though. Back to my books tomorrow.

#ShelfSweeper Day 16
We were lucky to keep our power during an intense storm earlier, but our internet has been out for hours. That made for some great reading and napping. I was about to head to bed but the cat sat in my lap so better read a bit more.
This is the latest book, #20, in the Jack Logan crime thriller series. It says something about the quality of the writing, plots and characters that have kept me interested this long. In fact, this is one of the few books series I have stuck with from the beginning. Loved this book as much as the first. Lots of twists and tension to keep you interested. Then the various backstreet to fill in any gaps and make it more interesting. Hoon even makes..
I‘ve had this ebook for so long. I added it to my #readyourebooks list & have finally read it. Super quick but still a good read with a twist.
