I‘m late to everything this month. 😩 I managed to solve only one case, but in my defense (do I need one?) some of the solutions relied on inaccuracies, and some relied on selective clues. The Case of the Growling Dog irritated me, and The Case of the Tooth Puller made me queasy. But, half-assed solves aside, this has some of the fun analogies that always make me laugh, so it wasn‘t a total waste of an hour. 🤪 #ebbr

I finished this one last Sunday for #EBBR & as usual, pretty much forgot all the cases already & which ones I solved. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I really do need to review them right after I read them or take notes. I do remember that (***Spoiler***) I didn‘t realize that ALL of the animal facts in the one story weren‘t true so I guess I solved it with the🦘but not completely as I thought I was done.🤔Anyway, they remain fun quick reads.

Hello #EBBR friends! Did you read this month‘s title and if yes, how did you get on with it?

Overall I liked it but feel the cases don‘t quite hold up quality-wise compared to the earliest ones. The solution to the first story I feel like I have encountered before, in a Colombo episode or something. 😅 The Case of the Girl Shortstop ⚾️ sadden me. I hope today Edwina would be allowed to play on the team.

Catching up with my September recap. I read less than August due to a really busy work month with less captured reading time on flights but still managed to complete 11 books + 2 Vonnegut stories & 2.5 chapters of Women Who Run With the Wolves.

#Read2025 #SeriesLove2025

Finished a few weeks ago for #EBBR & as usual I returned my library book before doing a review.🤷🏻‍♀️I have to go with the others who think this one was a bit “meh.” I didn‘t find any of the mysteries that great or memorable except for Smelly Nellie which I did get correct, not because I know much about whales but because I caught a detail in the reading. I missed the ones about space & the axe handle but got the rest.

A little blah. None of these were particularly fun and a couple required more specialized knowledge, which I find unfair in a children‘s mystery collection. Adult me doesn‘t know some of this. Little me definitely would not have. Other than the drunk birds, which I found cruel, this was…fine? I don‘t mind being wrong or unable to guess the solution as long as the cases are fun. This was missing the lighthearted fun I‘ve come to expect. #ebbr
