Decent. I think I would have enjoyed this more in print than on audio.

KadaGul @JenReadsAlot, some books are better in one medium or the other. Dry by Jane Harper #AuthorAMonth I started this before in Audio 🎧, but this time around, I'm enjoying the physical copy. #Bookvsaudio 4w

Bookpearl This is on my TBR and my silent reading group has raved about it. Their emotional review has prompted me to push it up on the list and I‘m more than excited to see this! 1mo

The book was okay. If anything I found it inspirational and motivating. It describes great leaders and it is a good book to gain insight on how to become a good one. It pushes you and gives you some tips on how to become disciplined but it dragged in a many areas and there weren‘t explicit strategies.

I was a philosophy major in college so naturally I was excited to read this.

This was a very practical guide on stoicism and how to incorporate it into your everyday life. The author does a good job breaking down the philosophy of stoics in an easy to follow way, while also including quotes from the stoics themselves.

Abandoning—I would have loved this in my 20s. Now, I prefer the author‘s 4000 Weeks.

Ego Is the Enemy | Ryan Holiday

Another great volume from Ryan Holiday. I didn't think I had much of an ego until I read this book. Yeah, I have some work to do. It opened my eyes to the realization that even a little ego can be detrimental. This is practical Stoicism and will improve your life. Read it.

November‘s pick was Discipline is Destiny. I wasn‘t sure about it at first, but ultimately a lot of what he wrote resonated with me, so much that as soon as I finished I re-listened to it. But, November was a good month—strong honorable mentions to Stay True by Hua Hsu and Reagan by Bob Spitz.

New Year, New Habits

This will be my new morning routine. The passage from the Daily Stoic for today, the page from the linked journal then a quick check of the family To Do list using the very funny and profane planner my friend gave me for Christmas.
