pickThis is a great start to this series. I love the action, and I was wincing at some parts. I wanted more trials, I think. I'm rooting for Dorian in the love triangle. pickThis book is so much better than the second in the series, and reminded me why I enjoy SJM. Such a rich depth of character building, from the ones we know the least right up to Celaena. Celaena really processes a lot of grief in this story, and comes to terms with who she really is — in a lot of ways, it‘s her coming of age. Meanwhile, plots and secrets churn all around, with an explosive ending that held lots of surprises. Keen to start the next!

This is how I‘m doing my Sarah J. Maas reads but add CC3 at the end because this does not have it listed. A bit into the first TOG book and love it. I got a ton of reading ahead of me.

pickPhew that was quite a read! So much happened that I‘m reeling a little, especially in the back third or so. Violent, bloody, and dark with magic, this world gets more and more complex as Celaena strives for freedom. Great characterizations, with quite a few surprises, and lots of plot twists to keep us guessing. Low key the pacing was a bit off, so I found it a bit slow going until quite near the end, but the payoff was pretty good.
pickCelaena Sardothien has survived deadly contest and shattering heartbreak, now must travel to new lands to confront her darkest truth about her heritage that could change her life and future forever. Brutal and monstrous forces are gathering. She must find strength to battle inner demons, and the evil about to be unleashed. 4/5 I really liked this one. Love how all the stories from AB are starting to twine together. Bawled for some of this one
pickThis series keeps getting better with each book. I loved the growth of the characters and the continuing of the series. I rated the book a 4 out of 5 stars.
