Mehso-so

The discrepancy between how important Saffron's financial independence and career are to her and how much time she actually spends at her job and on her plants was quite large and rather irritating. Also, it felt like there wasn't much of a conclusion to this one. The pacing was good and the relationships were more interesting.

Dr. Emilia McRoy moved to a small Scottish village for a fresh start, and Sea Isle is starting to feel like home. She has a small circle of friends, and one of them is getting married at a lavish estate. As the wedding festivities get underway, a body is found, but the victim isn‘t a guest or staff. Lucy McNeil is back in the 12th instalment of the Lighthouse Library Mystery Series. When renowned YA author Todd Harrison shows up unexpectedly at Lucy‘s home wanting to discuss a private matter she is naturally intrigued as they are virtual strangers. Before Lucy can find out what he wants he is murdered on her deck. I have enjoyed all the books in this series and this one did not let me down! Thanks to NetGalley and Crooked Lane for the ARC.

TheBookHippie ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ 4mo
kspenmoll @Andrew65 Up until Buried Angels I was listening to audiobooks in the series so it was different to read without the audio voices but I think@the next in the series is also only in book form. I am loving this series- don‘t want it to end! 4mo
kspenmoll @tpixie We started the Alchemist last week; we started Night today(Monday) both after exploring lots of background information. ( grade9,10) 4mo

“Cold rain soaking her boots, splashing her stockings, and leaking from the brim of her ruined hat and onto her face was the least of Saffron Everleigh‘s worries.”

I loved the first two books in this series and am looking forward to getting started in this one!
