The rally was attended by hundreds from CT & the northeast.I do not have words to describe the energy, the feelings people expressed post election: numbness, sadness, anger, fear, — today we experienced #joyinresistence #community #lovenothate
Blumenthal, our US Senator was there,& spoke eloquently about his promise to keep everyone safe, introduce new legislation, etc. along with many other state & town officials.

Our Class is a Family | Shannon Olsen

I think this would be a great book to share with your class at the beginning of the year so that they understand the importance of having your class become your family and realizing that they can support each other and have a sense of belonging.

Many teachers read this at the beginning of the year in their classrooms. It is a great way to introduce class families and acceptance.

All Are Welcome is a book about inclusivity, specifically in the classroom. Children from all different cultures are illustrated in vibrant colors. I really like the style of drawing in the illustrations, as it shows enough detail that you can see diversity without looking too realistic.
