Pickpick

This was a book I #meanttoreadin2022 #pop23 but, despite knowing that it‘s about Ash‘s best friend Edi, who has terminal cancer and is in hospice care, I found it too much to start with so hibernated it. However, it ended up being heartwarming as well as heartbreaking. It‘s more about Ash, who is hilarious and a hot mess, but learns about herself through caring for Edi.

#netgalley - published next week in the UK

squirrelbrain It‘s no spoiler, given the subject matter, to say that this book #includesafuneral #52books23. And I‘m using this for #booked2023 #titlestartswithvorw 2y

Megabooks This sat in my Amazon cart for months, then I took it out. Perhaps I should put it back… Great review! I also have to be in the right mood for hospice reads. 💜💜💜 2y

Today‘s #DailyKindleDeal ❣️I was about to hit the buy button BUT than I noticed the page count!!!!! 640 pages.... what should I do!!?? #PageCountPhobia 640 pages seem like 1160 pages on a Kindle!!! Im starting to panic to buy or not to buy??? Help, Littens!!

squirrelbrain Sounds great - I‘d go for it! Surely if you reduce the font size on your Kindle it‘ll reduce the page count as well?! 🤪 6y
Kaye Well, you‘d be getting a longer read for less money so that‘s a good deal. I‘m wondering if it comes with a file or link to see photos ? I think this book comes with pictures and such as clues ? I have yet to read it so I‘m not sure. 6y
AmyG I liked this book. And it‘s on sale! 6y

Areader2 So I have been wanting to read a big book,I just pre ordered a fantasy novel coming out in February that looks great The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon,it‘s 848 pages 😬so I know your reluctance 😂but for me looking forward to the challenge,I say go for it! 6y
Laughterhp A lot of the pages in the book are “news articles” and “website links” and photos. So it takes up some of the pages. This book is really good and doesn‘t feel like it‘s long when you‘re reading! (Not sure if it‘ll be like that in the ebook though, that‘s how the paperback was) (edited) 6y
eanderson I‘m the same way! Lol! I‘m the 300-450 is my usual. Anything over 500 I think it will take me forever to get through. 🤗 6y
Ashley_Nicoletto It‘s so good! I found this to be the perfect kind of creepy for an October read. 6y

Leftcoastzen It‘s so good , and doesn‘t feel long.I ran to the shelves and looked my hardcover copy it is 587 pages .as @Laughterhp related many add on photos, articles ,give it a interesting documentary style. 6y

I don't think it's fair that this book has to follow Station Eleven. I can't remember the last time I finished a book and wished it were longer. Station Eleven was beauuuutifully written and left me with so many feelings.

On to Anne Tyler! I've wanted to try something of hers for a while and The Accidental Tourist was a #dailykindledeal last month. I'm cautiously optimistic about this one.
