#5JoysFriday 1) My faith 2) WNBA all-star weekend!! 3) The the temperature has calmed down some 4) my mom has been exercising 30 minutes every other day 5) The Flintstones and the Jetsons before bed 💤🫶🏽🩷

1. My amazing daughter was here all week for a visit!
2. We had a great time at my sister-in-law‘s lake house.
3. We spent the day Wednesday in Galveston enjoying the beach and some shopping on the Strand.
4. During the aforementioned shopping, I acquired this Scrooge nutcracker!!
5. We were graced with a cold front this week. In Texas. In July. That‘s pretty much as believable as snow at the equator. The highs were 92-93!

🔹️ My fur baby who goes to work with me everyday.

🔹️ Watching Emmy ride her pony Gummy. It warms my heart to she kids enjoy the sport I love.
🔹️ My barn friend, Ashley, welcomed a new family member, Loki.
🔹️ The family of ducks that visits most everyday.

1. Productive chat with a co-worker
2. Fun audio book, inspired me to walk 4 5ks this week just to listen
3. An hour long, nostalgic phone call with my dad
4. Catching up with a good friend
5. My 19 YO saying “mom picks the best movies”. lol, that‘s an accomplishment if you have a teenager.

Some weeks it is the little things. 🩷

💛 A storm blew down a large branch in my yard, but thankfully it caused minimal damage.
💛 My pets that I was happy to see again after a few days away.
💛 A visit with another friend from college while she was nearby for a conference.
💛 A lot of “steps” (actual and due to plenty of arm work) because, as Dad likes to remind me, farm work is good exercise.
💛 These fun and delicious Cookie Monster cookies that my niece made.

My #5JoysFriday list for this week:

1. The tree in my neighborhood that the owners paint every couple of months to go with the season gives me joy when I drive by.

2. Driving home from the airport on Tuesday I saw 3 separate rainbows.!🌈 Couldn‘t take my own pictures as I was on the freeway.

3. I had to meet with my HR Manager about not fun things so I treated us to afternoon desserts. Mine was a lilikoi mousse cake. Joyful & delicious. 😋 ⬇️

1. I bought a mixer for baking for my birthday
2. Little butter cups are blooming
3. My sister got me a fairy statue for my fairy garden for my birthday
4. I painted birds for the 1st time
5. Got some LitsyLove birthday cards

Been a quiet week, albeit a rough ending to the work week last night. Grateful for my employers-they are amazing!
