#5joysfridays 1. The tree was up but I finally decorated it last weekend 2. We got a lot of snow ands it‘s already almost all gone 🤦🏻‍♀️ 3. I continue to get joy from the list of books I found that feel like a hug - The Wishing Game is from that list 4. I did more art with some grade 2s and 3s that was so much fun 5. Our Honda Pilot died after 18 yrs of service - we experienced a lot of joy with it, our kids grew up while we drove it

1. Amazing sunrise from my front porch.
2. Inside of my Magic World book nook which I worked on all week. Such a fun change from jigsaw puzzles!
3. Lunch with daughter for her birthday included grilled cheese with 3 kinds of cheese, bacon and crispy onion bites.
4. Recipe for tagine reminded me of trip with my kiddos to Morocco last year.
5. Bitter cold didn‘t stop us from pizza Thursday at favorite pizza joint.

#5joysfriday I had another full week of teaching so it feels like I did nothing but put one foot in front of the other 1. last Saturday we drove to Toronto to see Beckett and go to the Swedish Fair and had lunch ( I love liver wurst ❤️) 2. We saw where the Eras Tour was going to be that night 😢 without me 3. My poinsettia is coming along 4. Last night I went to a magical holiday sale event 5. Today I‘m going shoe shopping with my sister & niece

1. I went for my mammogram this week so I treated my self to 2. A new mug to help me get over the fact I won‘t get to go to the Eras Tour 3. I taught a lot this week and I got to teach art ❤️❤️❤️ I did torn paper owls with grade 2s and we painted BIG fall leaves in grade 1 4. I fancied up my front urns for Christmas and 5. My Lego wreath brings me joy ( so much I ordered the big botanical garden for myself for Christmas 😆) #5joysfriday

1.) I got the anniversary Loungefly backpack of my favorite character. 2.)I‘m coordinating with the adults in the family to get these Link Squad toys for my son that he loves! 3.) Baby E tried Eggnog for the first time… safe to say he loved it! 4.) My oldest F was in the Veterans Day Parade with her Girl Scout troop. 5.) And we celebrated both my girls, dolls birthdays. 🥰💛

#5joysfriday 1. #falljamboreedoodles brought me so much joy all month I am sad to see it go 2. I didn‘t teach yesterday but I did have the t shirt so I felt like part of the gang 3. October started slow reading wise but in the end I knocked off quite a few books. The best were the buddy reads! 4. I‘m so looking forward to the Food and Lit Canada theme this month 5. I‘m getting my Flu/Covid booster tonight, an adulting yay I guess 🤣

#5joysfridays where did the week go? 1. Thanksgiving dinner was with all the kids ❤️ my two were home for the weekend and my sister and brother in law are in Rome so my niece and nephew came ❤️❤️ 2. A cocktails only place opened a while ago and I have so wanted to go, my mom‘s group got together to belatedly celebrate my 60th 3. I thought a Corpse Reviver was a great 60th drink choice 4. My October TBR is taunting me 5. Doodles are life

1. Hit some PRs (personal records) this week at CrossFit.
2. My blood pressure was the lowest it‘s ever been (I have high blood pressure so this is a VERY good thing).
3. Weather has been amazing, so plenty of walks for me and Luna Bear.
4. Finally organized my desk so me (and my cats) have been enjoying getting creative.
5. The moon has been a wonder to behold this week ☺️

#5joysfriday 1. I am LOVING the doodle prompts for October, everyday I do a journal and a doodle prompt and I am liking how mindful they make me feel 2. I switched my clothes around and purged a bunch I was hanging onto just in case 3. It‘s oatmeal season ❤️❤️ 4. My October tracker is fun, but my reading game is slow 5. My October TBR is waiting patiently for me to get to it ( #hashtagbrigade is reading Dracula and I‘m loving it )

#5joysfriday 1. September 27 is my youngest‘s birthday, he‘s 22 today, we are driving to Toronto to see him this weekend ( he has one last semester of uni for his degree) 2. I‘m well on my way to becoming a crazy old book lady 3. September has been a good reading month 4. Still no crafting is being done but my table and space in the laundry room is slowly getting sorted and projects are being planned 5. I thrifted some new to me transfer ware

1. I ordered some Linkin Park to match my LP necklace I bought a long time ago.
2. The flowers in the flower bed outside my front door are blooming.
3. I was approved for more Netgalley ARCs this week.
4. I ordered 2 necklaces from Taylor Bradshaw, an independent folk musician from NYC
5. I joined #hauntedshelf on Litsy. I‘m on team #skeletoncrew. My participation will probably be low key because I have a lot of ARCs to read.

Both of our ancient cars ( 18 yrs and 17rs) were cantankerous this week & needed to visit the mechanic so I went out for breakfast after dropping them off 3. I bought a new Ruggable for the front door 4. Indigo is giving teachers 20% off everything so I bought 4 books and Catan ( finally) 5. It‘s Friday and time for a cocktail after a swim 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

#5joysfriday Sunday we went to the Fair to see a concert ( on a school night) the opening act, The Spoons, I saw 41 years ago during Frosh Week of my first year at Uni 🤯 and I still have my all access pass from back then ❤️🤣 I made blueberry pancakes with wild blueberries my oldest brought home from up north, I finished All Fours and now only have one more Camp Litsy read to go #betterlatethannever and today is my first day back to school 🎉

Had a rough week so here I am practicing gratitude!

1. Finished a certification course.
2. Did a lot of bonding with my teenager 🥰
3. Certain workouts felt easier than usual at CrossFit, which I take as a sign of my progress 💪🏼
4. Got myself some Starbucks today (haven‘t had it in a while).
5. My sister seems to be doing better (she was struggling with some personal problems and I was worried about her).

It‘s been a glorious low key week. 1. My local library has switched out how they move books between branches and gifted their old bags to local makers and I got my hands on one ( it‘s cleaned, has updated handles, an inside pocket and key ring) 2. back to school time; my husband is back, I‘m having a soft start to substituting( first 2 weeks off?) 3. first two books of September finished 4. spaghetti bolognese from scratch 5. so much gardening

We went to our third play at Stratford this week, the World Premiere of Salesman in China, a play about when Arthur Miller went to China to mount a production of his Death of a Salesman 2. We headed straight to the cottage from Stratford 3. Sunsets at the lake 4. Being by and in the water 5. Back to school clothes shopping 🤫

#5joysfriday 1. Driving to Stratford to see their production of The Diviners ❤️ 2. The half moon was glorious and framed perfectly in our backyard in the very early evening/later afternoon 3. I‘m still listening to Queen Hereafter and either weeding or purging and loving every second of this glorious book that makes me gasp out loud 4. I found a fantastic leopard print skirt at Zara 3. #5joysfriday back to normal around here 1. It is not a good summer for tomatoes ( cherry do okay) but my cucumbers are having a moment 🥒 👏🏻👏🏻 2. Wednesday was glorious so I floated and read all day 3. Queen Hereafter on audio is the BEST 4. Despite being a full summer girlie, I bought a Casper tee #casperthefriendlyghost is my level of fright 5. I‘m making lots of good and healthy dinners to reverse the trip overindulgences 😆

I love this day and seeing what everyone posts ❤️ this week was mainly big but some smalls 1. Dippie eggs at a bed & breakfast just like my mom used to make ❤️❤️ 2. Going to Balmoral Castle 👸🏻 3. My first ever High Tea and it was at Balmoral 4. Seeing the Kelpies ( it‘s a beautiful spot) 5. Home again and reading in my favourite spot #5joysfriday

We are still away on holiday so my #5joysfriday is extra again 1. I shopped at a UK store I follow on line and bought myself a beautiful pale blue cashmere short sleeved sweater 2. I saw my first “Hairy Coo” 3. I finished Perils with the #pemberlittens gang ❤️ I loved the book and this group 4. Tea time 5. I made it to Dunvegan Castle, ancestral seat of Clan McLeod, my people #holdfast
