willaful I can't remember if I read this one before, which makes me think I must not have, though it might not have made such a strong impression when I was younger. I think this is one of his best books.

I loved the symbolism of the case. Vimes is so resistant to the trappings that came with marriage to Sybil that it was good to see one he truly loved, that represents how much she cares for him, and becomes a lifeline. 4w

willaful And I loved his recognition and acceptance of the fact that it's time to let himself be more than a copper. He has to be a husband and father too. 4w

BookmarkTavern @willaful I loved that too! His constant little reminders of what he was missing. Sybil and Sam is my favorite romantic couples Pratchett wrote. 4w
