She came from the most terrifying environment- a brutal orphanage in Ukraine. She was born with birth defects from radiation poisoning, including webbed fingers, no thumbs, and missing weight-bearing bones in her legs. She was given up for adoption and spent time in three orphanages before being adopted by Gay Masters. Incredible story of courage and perseverance 💔

This is a wonderful story to read to children that shows them that anything is possible if you try hard enough to succeed

“I think I can. I think I can. I think I can.”

This story follow a little blue engine that does not believe that she can take a train over a mountain because she is not strong enough and believes it to be impossible. She takes the train up and down the mountain using 4 magic words to believe in herself.

I have always loved this book and the message that it teaches children. It uses repetition and language that any age child can understand and learn from. I love that it teaches perseverance and believing in one‘s self
