There was so much I loved in this book, but then parts of it needed to be edited in order to make the flow better. My favorite part was the library! 💚

Overall it's a fun read about a girl who never quite fits in but who finally finds her family. The various witches and their powers were interesting and the world building was solid.

This author is becoming one of my favorites. In this book we have ghosts, folklore, a haunted house, and a town full of dark secrets.

The House acts as its own character drawing the story towards it and setting the pace as the mystery unfolds.

Perfect read for Halloween time! 👻

Finished the graphic novel the other day for #ScarePairs There are so many adaptations and I am loving them all. The 6 part BBC series is an interesting modern take on the classic. And there‘s even a musical! #Screamathon #Scarathlon #TeamSlaughter #BookSpinBingo #Wickedathon #Spookoween +41 pts

I remembered enjoying the movie when I first saw it several years ago. However I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of the book and really enjoyed it. The friendship between R and M was one of my favorite things in the book and I loved seeing those moments in the movie. I may pick up the second book at some point too.

I listened to the book and it was excellent. I loved how convoluted the story was and the insight the reader was given into each character's mindset. The movie version I watched was from 1945 and they changed the story too much. I didn't enjoy it.

I re-read this excellent King collection because it has been a long time since my first read. These 4 novellas are some of my favorites from King. I feel this book portrays the versatility of King's writing very well. I recommend it a lot to people wanting to read him for the first time.

I also watched Apt Pupil last night. I think it's a good adaptation of the book.
