I have enough to read, I told myself. I‘ll just pick up my two holds (one for #hashtagbrigade) and not look at the other books. But… they had this staff picks table right at the entrance… and can I resist a sapphic selkie story? No, no I cannot. (I‘m glad to see at least that I‘d already stacked it thanks to a couple of positive reviews! And the fact that it‘s a sapphic selkie story.)

This is yesterday‘s haiku, or rather last night‘s. I stopped to watch the twilight fade into night on my way home from the airport. (Then I promptly went home & fell asleep!) I‘ve always loved the word “gloaming.” 🌅

Last night I loudly declared that I didn‘t care about anyone or anything and I was going on my porch to read. Cue the flooding rain that chased me back inside. Tonight I am whispering quietly that I am hiding from everyone and hoping the weather holds. Not tempting the fates tonight.
pickFinished my last book by Beth Krommes and absolutely loved everything about it. The artwork was superb as well as the fantasy tales of different creatures like fairies, gnomes, selkies, etc. Learned more about the fictional creatures and it's perfect for any age to read this book.
