Due respect to Margaret Wise Brown's place in the pantheon of children's book writers, but it's the art that made this book. The colour pallette, the style, such vibrant whimsy. I want back and looked at every page three times. I could happily have the pages collected as a wall calendar. Will have to look out for other books by Lorena Alvarez.

I love Robert Munsch. We found a bunch at Walmart the other day, and I'm loving reading my way through this little stack of treasure. #18-2024

I'm on the fence about adding this to my library. It seems a little too pre-school for my audience. It's cute, though.

This is a book I feel like everyone has to read in their lifetime. It is an exciting book about how a gingerbread man runs away and they try to catch him.

This book is a classic story about a lady who bakes a cookie and it runs away. Younger kids tend to LOVE this book because it is a fun upbeat book.

1. Yes, bring it on.
2. Maps. Illustrations. Family trees.
3. On a train going somewhere fun.

Quarterly appointment with my Retinal specialist today, which is practically an all day thing due to travel, needing to have lunch so I don‘t starve, and DC traffic.
The vision in my left eye is as above, due to a retinal tear - I lost my reading spot in that eye as well, so I can only read with my right eye.
The good news is that both eyes are stable right now, and I can relax for another four months. Yay!
