My newest foodie/chef crush 😍. This is a beautiful cookbook and I'm currently making the turmeric tonic from the website since I'm feeling a little under the weather.
pickI blew through this and enjoyed it from start to finish! If you aren't a fan of Steinbeck, which I know some, for some strange reason, aren't....it doesn't matter - I would still recommend it.

pickI finished this last night as part of #24n48. This took me a bit to really get into (and honestly, I think it was because I kept wishing I was reading it on a rainy day) but I ended up blazing through and really loving it. Beautiful!
Cracking myself up...ran all over the place trying to find a pool float before the heatwave- all pool stuff replaced with back to school so I Prime Now'd it - need a good set up for #24in48 - a couple more from my stack for this weekend.

I love all books related to food and cooking. Ruth Reichl is one of my favorite writers on that subject so I'm really looking forward to starting off with this for #24in48
#FunFridayPhoto A couple of my favorites as a kid - it was hard to pick so I grabbed these three well loved gems. I knew The Gingham Dog and the Calico Cat by heart; Guinness Book of World Records - my favorite was the smallest monkey and the longest nails and Snow White I read until it fell apart
So incredibly bummed - after starting this last night I have to bail on it (well...this copy in particular) I got it from the library and the "moisture damage noted" comment from the library on the front of the book smells SUPER bad to my sensitive nose (I think cat pee ? or something equally offensive that I can't ignore or get out of my nose) so I'm going to return it and find or buy another copy.....it was starting off so GOOD too!!!
I've seen the movie SO MANY times and never read the book. Was inspired to pick this up after reading Life Moves Pretty Fast....
