so ready for this!!!! thanks #yallfest!!
On the train to #yallfest!!
Hoping this is a good light-hearted read, that's what I'm in the mood for!! Any other recommendations welcome!
very curious to see what this is all about!! #currentlyreading
guess I need to get to reading this for book club next week. must admit I'm not the biggest thriller fan!
I ended up enjoying this much more than I thought I would! I may even pick up the sequel (after I make it through the massive pile of books I currently have checked out)
Time for my own personal #readathon. Mostly #yallfest authors, plus the new Raina Telgemeier, of course.
starting a new book = time to choose a #bookmark! here's two of my favorites, one from The Jane Austen Centre in Bath and the other is from the international honor society for library & information science (#nerdalert) :-) #booktober
wow, I'd forgotten so many amazing moments from sorcerer's stone... the HP re-read continues!!
#vacationread! time to up my #yallfest author reads before November!!!
have been in the mood to re-read HP lately, and also decided to try the new short stories. this was by far my favorite of the three! #harrypotter
maybe the best of the best #bannedbooksweek book. just look up why if you need a chuckle.
Wednesday of #bannedbooksweek and I decided it was time to finally read this highly contested book!
Leigh Bardugo's books have some of my favorite #mapsinbooks. can't wait to see Crooked Kingdom's map! #somethingforsept
it was dark AND grim, and a great retelling of Grimm's Hansel and Gretel story.
#bannedbooksweek continues! Brave New World was first published in 1932, but still shows up on frequently challenged book lists today!
In the mood to re-read lately, and I have to say, I'm no less excited for Harry's journey to Hogwarts than I was the very first time. #harrypotter
On a #YALLQuest to read as many attending authors as I can before #YALLFest in November! #youngadult #septemberphotochallenge
Re-read to see if it would be as great as I remembered, and the answer is yes. The Witches is still by far my favorite Roald Dahl book.
An unlikely friendship forms between three very different girls all vying for a Little Miss title. This tale of summertime adventure is also very somber in parts, as the girls learn a number of life lessons about loss, but never feels too heavy. Another excellent DiCamillo, and a great listen!
I can already tell this book is going to tear me apart. The main character's descriptions are so beautiful in their immense sadness. Only on page 50, but already recommend.
Major graphic novel kick continues with my favorite middle grade series. It's amazing to the max! Get in on this!!
There are SO. Many. Awesome. Ladies. In this series!! MORE PLEASE!
The end of this second volume was insane good. Forcing myself to pause and not devour the next volume right now.
I really wasn't sure what I was getting into when I started this series, but I found this first volume of the story epic and engrossing. I NEED to continue and see where things go from here!
Trying out Saga on this rainy weekend!! Can't wait!!
I've been seeing good things about both so I'm torn trying to decide what to read next... The Girls or Scarlett Epstein Hates It Here?!!?
Unfortunately, this story of a dysfunctional family did not hold my attention. I found the story slow, and the timeline odd. A lot of my book club really enjoyed the writing and related to the characters, but it was not the book for me! #bookclubfail
Although the first in the Magnus Chase series was highly disappointing, Riordan made up for it with this story about Apollo as a God turned teenage boy. Snarky in just the right ways, I may skip the rest of Magnus but will look forward to this series! Dedication also on point.
Keep this on my desk for whenever I need a little Jane in my life... Along with a Jane Austen action figure, of course 😀
Gems like this are why I can't stop reading Rick Riordan.
Cannot wait to collect and enjoy this story all over again! #harrypotter #illustrated
