Down for two months after foot surgery. Good thing I have a full bookshelf of tbr‘s and a kindle full too. Which one to start with is the problem. Challenging myself to read every book in the bookcase before I am on my feet again.

Sills Sounds like my kind of goal❤️ 6y

But fear and danger aren't always directly proportional. We're all terrified by rattlesnakes, but the spider we brush of our sleeve with hardly a thought is far more likely to hurt us.

Yvonnel This series was fantastic! 7y

#firstsentence It sets the tone.

Cinfhen Love that! I agree, great first line😍 7y
DeborahSmall My favourite read of the decade possibly, and The Bone Tree and I'm sure Mississippi Blood too, in a couple of days ❤️️ 7y
CrazyBookLady This trilogy is the only Iles books I haven't read. My father in law grew up in Natchez and his brother helped with research on one of the earlier books. I love all the books. It is a beautiful city. We hope to move there someday. 7y

Who can spot the typo? It drives me insane finding typos in books. Does that make me weird?

You might be a mediocre mom if.... This is hilarious because my son is so lazy he sleeps in his clothes when he has school the next day so all he has to do when he gets up is put on his shoes. 😂 And I am ok with that if it keeps us on time.

Cinfhen TRUTH 7y
TrishB I call that planning 😀 7y
Linear I relate to the art work in the trash. The sleeping in the clothes thing doesnt work. Ive tried it. They ruin it somehow 7y

Chills before I've even begun.

Yvonnel How did you like this book? Did you post a review?I haven't heard of it and I love books about WWll. 7y
CrazyBookLady @Yvonnel I loved it! I am drawn to WWII books as well. This one is a true story, and it was heartbreaking and hopeful at the same time. Read it! I found it on Kindle. 7y
Yvonnel Oh great. Thanks! I'll add it to the TBR pile 😂 7y

So I FINALLY got around to reading this. I am about 3 chapters in and I am not impressed. It feels like it's dragging. Please tell me this book is going somewhere, and that it is worth the read, because I do not believe in wasting perfectly good reading time on books that don't grab me.

TrishB I didn't enjoy it, but know a lot of people did. 7y
Airykah13 The main character got on my nerves 7y
Merethebookgal I didn't like it at all. The only reason I finished it was because it was a book club pick. I seem to be in the minority in that opinion but I don't get why everyone raves about it. 7y
CrazyBookLady @TrishB that is why I'm asking. I have heard mixed reviews from friends and the ones who didn't like it have similar reading interests to me. @Airykah13 she is kind of whiny and annoying. 7y
DGRachel I bailed on it. 7y

Trying to get my TBR bookcase organized. Yes, I have an entire bookcase dedicated to TBR's. It's a little embarrassing and drives my husband nuts. I only have about 3 more boxes of books to add to it. I did make a major score at my library book sale...47 books for $11.75!! (I have read the Outlander books on the top shelf. Just needed somewhere to put them.). Please tell me I'm not the only one with this problem!?

SeeJulieRead My TBR pile is also a bookcase. And, I have a minimum of 10 books checked out from the library at a time. So, you are not alone! 8y
BookmarkTavern My library's twice a year book sale is next month, and I will regularly come home with 30 to 40 books and no regrets or shame. 8y
readingnatalie Oh, library book sales are the best! There is no shame! 😊 One of my libraries is having one next month, too, and I cannot wait to see what I might find. 8y

TheNextBook Don't feel bad. I have a bookshelf for my TBR too. It helps me stay organized and I knoe what I need to conquer. 8y

Foragingfantasy I have TONS of tbr books. More than one bookshelf. If I ever have more read books than unread, I'll cry. 8y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa Nope, you are not alone there. Yours are just much better organized than mine! 8y
Eyelit I have two bookshelves for unread, the immediate and the overflow 😂 8y
Suet624 I have 3 libraries close by. I try not to get books at the library and, instead, read the books that I have at home. Alas, my stack of TBR books just get taller. 8y

A dreary, slow day at work. So I'm occupying my down time wisely. #somethingforseptember Day 2 of #septphotochallenge

DivineDiana I have this on my TBR shelves at home. What do you think? 8y
CrazyBookLady @DivineDiana I usually read these types of books over a period of time. A few pages here and there when I have a little bit of time to kill. So far, though, it's very interesting. Each sister was so different in where there lives went that it's hard to believe they were raised by the same parents. It's definitely one I would recommend. 8y
DivineDiana Thank you! Since I have three sisters, I always like books about sister relationships. 8y

Mehso-so

Lots of great stories and anecdotes. However, I feel that they spent more time focusing on the first ladies' relationships with their husbands than on the secret lives of the First Ladies as the book advertises. I wasn't totally let down but not overly impressed either. Just okay in my eyes.

I made it about 60% through, to the point where she gets sober. After that it wasn't "new" anymore. It was the same as any other getting-sober story. I lost interest.

Before this book, Voyager was my favorite in the series. I got a little bogged down in An Echo in the Bone and became worried that the rest of the series would let me down. But this one was redemption. I flew through it faster than any of the others. Can't wait for #9!!!

abbiereadsbooks I felt the same way! Although I think Voyager is still my favorite. :) 8y
Hazel0303 Good to know! My journey stalled with Drums... 8y
CrazyBookLady @Hazel0303 stick with it. It's rewarding in the end. Try switching to audiobook if you haven't already. It helped me get through Echo b 8y
