Weaponxgirl @GingerAntics make sure all dates are food related. That way if they are boring you can just stuff your face instead....wine doesn‘t hurt either. I probably rely on wine too much. 5y

GingerAntics @Weaponxgirl sometimes dates require wine or other alcohol products. Last time I was on a date I was wish a guy who didn‘t drink so wine was out, and we were at a fast food restaurant so there was no wine to drink anyway. 🤦🏼‍♀️ It was a disaster and it‘s very clear why now. 5y

GingerAntics @Weaponxgirl I don‘t think so. Especially in Texas, I think we have now churches than bars/pubs. Churches we have on just about every corner, pubs are few and far between. @julesG is that going out and meeting people thing a requirement? I really suck at both of those. I‘m in that shyness department as well. 5y

julesG @GingerAntics Even if I went to bars, pubs, cafés,... regularly, I have this bubble of "I'm too snobbish" around me, nobody approaches me. I'm not sure I'm even looking for love or sex, a real honest discussion would be wonderful. You know, the weird ones we have off-Litsy. 5y

I don‘t know what it is, but the times that I‘ve been forced to sit in cafes or clubs or social things I‘m so introverted that I sort of just fade into the background so no one actually talks to me either, and then I‘m so shy and so afraid there is something weird about me that‘s keeping people from talking to me that I can‘t even begin to approach anyone myself. 5y

GingerAntics I think there are degrees of friends and thus degrees of trust and loyalty. There are things you only talk about with your closest friends that you wouldn't dare say to other friends (like work friends or mutual friends). They are all trusted to some degree and loyal to some degree, just some more than others. If you don't trust someone at all, or a person is totally disloyal then they're not/can't be friends. Eelijah @GingerAntics a friendship is built, loyalty is earned.... work friends are associates....In my heart I believe that a friend is someone who doesn‘t have to tell you he or she is your friend 6y

GingerAntics @Eelijah I agree with the not having to say you're friends if you're actually friends. I think the work friends vs associates thing depends on the situation/friendship in question. Some are associates and others are actually friends. 6y
