I finished my 3rd book of the year! I‘m kinda torn on what to read next 🤔 But I‘m already doing way better then last year, so I‘m super proud of myself 😂 For the final book in the series, this was really good. I think California is becoming one of those “hold my beer” states! Mystery of the week!! I received a lovely package in the mail, the shipping address is a company called The Bluestocking Bookshop, but aside from the company name I have no idea who it‘s from! Got myself a birthday gift this year! 😂 I never get myself a gift and I normally never get more then 2 books at a time when shopping. I finished it!😭🙌🏼 This book was pretty good. The beginning was kinda slow and I WAS able to predict who the villain is, unlike in the the first one 😕. But there was still some surprising twists and really good character development. I would totally recommend this if you want a fun and simple fantasy/mystery read. This year has been a rough reading year. I‘ve been trying to push through The Lord the of Rings and The Witcher, but both series take a lot of mental energy so instead I just haven‘t been reading 😩 BUT I‘m taking a break from them and rereading this simple YA read to hopefully get the reading vibes going again 😂

I feel like for a first ever post LOTR is the best way to go. I love the movies, enjoyed reading The Hobbit and now I‘m working through The Fellowship of the Ring.
