The best love story I've read. Sheridan masterfully created complex characters that emotionally conveyed the characters' journey through their internal struggles and vulnerabilities. Archer and Bree are unforgettable. Their spellbinding and heart-warming love story will stay with me forever.

Bree moves to a small town to find peace. She‘s transfixed by the quiet outsider, Archer, who hasn‘t spoken since a traumatic childhood incident. He‘s interested in her also well. Will Bree be able to help him find his voice again?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I really enjoyed this book. It had a good balance between story & spice. The characters‘ chemistry & their arcs were great. The plot & writing were also good.

Book 47 of 2023. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Three stars is generous. I thought the first 200 pages were okay, but then it turned into straight cheese.

I understand the hype around this one, definitely worth it. Sheridan is a great writer, this is well paced and the back and forth between the characters and their timelines is effective and keeps the often heavy content from getting too heavy. The love story is sweet and they support each as they work though their difficult pasts. This wasn‘t on my plan for #MagnificentMay but the libby waitlist was long. #payitforward @Andrew65

A fairly classic romance novel which are not always my tatse but read as a recommendation from a friend (also I saw it appeared to be part of a trilogy and so ticked that off for #booked22) it was steamier than I had anticipated but overall just a little too melodramatic for my taste

Don‘t get me wrong, I loved the concept and fell in love with Archer‘s character. However, the writing style came off as being written by a high school freshman who just started writing their first fanfiction. It was very sporadic and inconsistent. The smut and spice was decent, but lacked the proper build up and background that most good spice needs. It was like the author only put good effort into certain parts of the book. ⭐️⭐️

December 23, 2022 I am done with the book! I did like reading about the relationship that Bree and Archer had but there was too much sex that happened. The description of their sexual endeavors was a little too much for my taste. However, I give the book 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

December 23, 2022 This is a romance book that has a lot of *steamy moments*. If you like to read romance books that have romantic terminology go for it. I am warning you ahead of time that the middle of the book to probably the end is filled with them. I do like romance books but I feel like the author has TOO MUCH 😒

blurb

December 22, 2022 Continued reading and of course I was right. I could tell that Bree and Archer were going to be build a romance with each other. She was feeling for him even before he felt for her. She liked his looks and muscular body way before he brought up the idea of kissing her and all. No surprise that she is falling head over heals in love with the silent man --- whom Travis Hale was wrong about just like everyone else in town!

blurb

December 22, 2022 I am on page 125 out of 360. I am so glad to have read how Bree Prescott and Archer Hale are connecting with one another. No one, not even his cousin Travis Hale really talked to him because they felt like he was a strange bird and couldnt talk. BUT he can talk; through sign language. Bree is the first person to have built a friendship with Archer which breaks my heart 😭

blurb

Chapter Two: As of now, I am getting introduced to more characters. Archer, his dad, his mom Alyssa, Patty Nelson, Phoebe (a dog or cat), Bree, and Anne Cabbott (Bree's new neighbor). When I read a new book, I prefer to list out the characters so I do not forget who was who and if they appear again, I will be able to reference back again

blurb
lilpumpkin2.0

December 21, 2022 I just read Chapter One and I am so confused as to why the mother is having a relationship with Uncle Connor. Is doesnt make sense. Did anyone else feel confused wheb they read that Alyssa (Archer's mother) was in a relationship with Archer's Uncle??? I mean, I guess the dad is also messed up because he left with Patty Nelson and was screwing her three ways 🤣

December 20-21, 2022 I will be reading my next book, Archer's Voice. I have seen this book around and many have had mixed feelings of it. I thought that I should read it and share my thoughts. From reading the back cover, I could tell it was a romance novel. Romance is one of my favorite genres so ya know... how could I resist

Is he even your book boyfriend if he‘s not bringing you bouquets of chocolate covered coconut bars (Bree prefers Almond Joys, but my favorites are these bars, who like Archer Hale, are Unreal 🥺) or picking all the folded chips from the bag because he noticed they‘re your favorites?? 🥹🖤

This is definitely a steamier romance than I usually read but this is my book club‘s pick for the month- and we will be having the meeting in a hot tub, so I guess this makes this a perfect choice! I enjoyed the relationship between Archer and Bree. Their past traumas make them well-suited for one another and I enjoyed how they communicate. My favorite part is that a married Victoria and Connor play significant roles! 🤯 It‘s a fast and fun read!

Bought this as a Kindle deal on a total whim, so I went in with zero expectations. Overall I enjoyed it a lot. The romance was very effective, and while the female MC had a pretty cliche trauma backstory, I thought the male MC‘s background was actually unique. There was a good bit of build up of their relationship and the sex scenes were well done. What didn‘t work was the side plots of murder investigation and small town development. 3.5⭐️

It's been a while since I was in the mood for romance (let's blame dating app fatigue IRL, haha) but this one really tugged at the heart strings! The perfect mix of sweet, sexy, and substance. Picked it up after seeing a Tiktok recommendation (yes, you read that right) and glad I did! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Side note: super glad to have had a successful lazy reading weekend so far, and extra grateful to have one more day to curl up with Moxie, books, and tea!

Book 1 for #BookSpinBonanza during May. Archer & Bree will meet under unusual circumstances in a small town located in Maine. Both of them need to heal many scars, will they help each other? Love Archer unique "voice", the way he communicates. There are some twists. Romance is cute and you will love Archer. Too repetitive in those sexy scenes and some parts could be seen as cheesy. But I enjoyed it. Good for summer read 3.7⭐️ @TheAromaofBooks

Archer and Bree are two gentle but broken souls. Each suffering from tragedy, filled with hurt, struggling to overcome the pain. Fate brought them together and love brought them to a point of healing and peace. I loved the sweet emotional connection these two had and thoroughly enjoyed sharing in their journey as they navigated through a path of heartbreak toward healing, wholeness and happiness.
