Honestly, Reid knows how to end a series by picking the right couple. Dan, alone, makes this book beyond enjoyable! His idioms, antics and use of the F-word are amazing. The narrator for him, was perfect. Cat and Dan, together, were even cuter. The only downside to this novel, is it felt cut off at the end. I think this is the only time I‘ve had this complaint, but it didn‘t take away from the overall enjoyment I had.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I‘m always sad to reach the end of a Reid series… but I have already started her newest Three Kings trilogy.🤣

Some favs by my favs. In no particular order.
The best thing about these authors is that none - NONE - of them - are “one hit wonders”. They all have a backlist, beyond the books I‘ve shown here, full of amazing books.

This is a Knitting in the City book, and the MC literally goes woolgathering when stressed, so I think it will do nicely for the Woolgathering prompt in my #fourfoursin21 #readingchallenge.

I didn't quite make it to the 24 hour mark! This has been a nice way to practice social distancing while also taking back some head space from all of this pandemic business. My readathon was made up entirely of romances. So much fluffy goodness has definitely lifted my spirits! I think I am much more prepared to head back into the fray tomorrow morning! Sleep well, my fellow 'thonners! And thanks for the virtual comradery!

BarbaraJean That‘s a great total! And a great way to pick up your spirits! 5y

Bittersweet to see the last of the Knitting in the City series. Kat and Dan the Security Man finally get hitched after years of misunderstandings, rescuing each other from their hang ups and demons. The rest of the gang make several appearances, like the close of a good sitcom. The issue of Dan‘s scalawag half brother is a tantalizing loose end. And maybe we‘ll hear tidbits about everyone in the Winston brothers series... #romantsy

Just noticed I haven't gushed about this yet.

I loved it. Yes, some problems were a bit far fetched or non-problems, but the interactions between the MCs and the wonderful cast of minor characters made it a great read.

This is me today, after reading all 422 pages of the eBook of Marriage of Inconvenience in one sitting last night, finishing up at about 1:30am. As with any Penny Reid book, I spent the first half of it thinking, "I'm definitely giving this one 5 stars on GoodReads!", and then it started drifting into 4 stars territory for me, & after that it was hard to decide on a rating

readherwriteher This was me a few days ago. The book hangover is no joke. 7y

Another wonderful read from Penny Reid. This is a slower burn for Reid, but for good reason. Her handling of sexual disfunction and mental illness is very well written and considerate. All of the characters of the series return! Even though technically these can be stand-alone reads, I recommend starting at the beginning of the series. #romanticcomedy #glorytotheguild

It‘s Penny Reid so it has to be a pick, but for me, it‘s with reservations. 😔 There were some truly laugh out loud moments, and that‘s what I love about Reid‘s work. However, there were sections that dragged and some of the drama just didn‘t sit right with me. Not my favorite of the series, but still good, and the issue may be my mood.

CoffeeK8 I just finished and there was one part too where I felt like it was not the right fit... but still 💖 for the book and the characters. 7y
DGRachel @CoffeeK8 Absolutely ❤️ for all things Penny. Even her less than perfect books are still good and enjoyable. I‘m probably just in a weird headspace right now and had hoped for something more? different? I don‘t know. This just wasn‘t my favorite, but it was still good. 7y
CoffeeK8 @DGRachel I hear you, this happened to me with Fiona & Greg‘s story, just not quite right at the time. 7y
DGRachel @CoffeeK8 I loved their prequel novella, but I struggled a bit with their “present day” story. My favorite couple is still Janie and Quinn, but I really enjoyed Sandra‘s, Ashley‘s, and Marie‘s stories, too. 7y
CoffeeK8 @DGRachel agreed! And I loved elements of chemistry #1 7y

I definitely don‘t know everything about everything, but my understanding of polyamory is that‘s a committed relationship between multiple people... not hooking up, as this excerpt seems to imply.

Am I wrong on that? Or am I misinterpreting this passage?

Tadams4 I totally agree with you! 7y
ohyeahthatgirl Successful poly relationships set up ground rules, so it depends on the people involved. 7y
tournevis Knowing more than my share of triads and committed groups, this narrator (author?) has it wrong. 7y

As good as #bookmail is #bookmarkmail.

Epikpage (Etsy) included this wonderful sticker that just had to go onto my kindle cover.

I'm also showing you the body cream I bought at The Body Shop. Smells heavenly.

Started the tagged book on my way home. So buddy reads will have to wait until I can tear myself away from this.

Tanisha_A SO MANY bookmarks! 😍 7y

You know that feeling when you list all the books you‘re #currentlyreading and your #MarchTBR of library books, ARCs, buddy reads, and pre-orders to create a #MarchLineUp and the ONLY thing you want to read is the book that hasn‘t released, yet? 😭😭 Sometimes being a #moodreader stinks.
#MarchInBooks #MagicalMarch #ReadingResolutions (I know I‘m a day early, but I figured I had time tonight & might not tomorrow)

Jess7 I definitely feel ya! #moodreadersunite! 😂 7y
vkois88 I understand that completely! It's why I can't join the postal groups lol... thanks for sharing your pics!! 7y

DGRachel @Quasifesto I‘ve got four books actively in progress right now and I don‘t want to read any of them. 🤦🏻‍♀️ 7y
DGRachel @vkois88 This doesn‘t even include my postal book club book. I forgot to insert that graphic. 😭 7y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks These look good!!! I‘m also a mood reader!!! 7y
Bklover Well, ya gotta admit, Crime and Punishment isn‘t exactly an edge of your seat thriller! But really, I‘m a mood reader too and sometimes Nothing suits me!😉 7y
vkois88 Well these books def sound interesting, at least. You'll get there, you can do it!! 7y
DGRachel @Bklover But with that cover, it should be!!😂😂. I already know my odds of success with the C&P buddy read are slim. I‘ve tried and bailed on a different translation 3 times back in my 20s. I was hoping the new translation would be the key to finishing, but I won‘t hold my breath. 7y
DGRachel @vkois88 I‘m actually thinking of buying two of the three library books, since I haven‘t started them yet. I still think they sound interesting and I want to read them...eventually. 😂😂 7y
Bklover @DGRachel Yeah, I know what you mean. I bought Bleak House with an awesome cover and it didn‘t help a single bit. Oh, and I have two different versions of Crime and Punishment - both unread! (edited) 7y
Gezemice Yeah. I can‘t join postal groups, either. I have learned to return unread books to the library, though. Although you can‘t really do that if the wait list is three months. 7y
BookishMe Hi there, fellow #moodreaders 👋🏾👋🏾 7y
maich I know that feeling😂 #bookwormsproblems 7y
Andrew65 😂 This can often be the case. 7y
Nute Yes, even though I have several to-be-read intentions already lined up, I am always intrigued by books about to be released. One of the hazards of being a reader. 7y

Heads up, Penny Reid fans. An ebook short story collection prequel to her next book is available for free. 😃
I think some of the stories have been released in her previous newsletters, but two are brand new.
Just wanted to share the news! I‘m fairly certain you can get it wherever you usually get ebooks (and her website)

DGRachel Got it. Read it. Loved it. 😂😍 7y
