I‘ve been in the mood for thrillers lately. Just started this one last night. Have you read any good thrillers lately? I‘d love some recommendations. 📚

This one wasn‘t for me. I understand why it‘s gotten a lot of praise and I appreciate the overall approach and themes but I didn‘t actually enjoy listening to it.
I checked this out from the library and then promptly forgot about it. Fingers crossed that I can squeeze it in before it‘s due. Do you try to knock library books out quickly before they‘re due or just accept that you‘ll have to get back on the holds list?
I may have gotten a little carried away at the library... Let me know if you've read and would recommend any of the books in this stack. 📚
I‘ve heard such good things about this one. Have you read it?
“Maps never lead to unchartered places.”
When your library hold becomes available just in time for the weekend... 🎉 Do you have any fun weekend reading plans?
I'm only on page 59 but I can already see what all the fuss is about. Have you read this one yet?
I enjoyed many of my October picks but Little Fires Everywhere was probably my favorite. What book did you enjoy the most in October?⠀

After this book was described as The Scarlet Letter meets The Handmaid‘s Tale, I was sold.
I've heard good things about this #botm selection. Have you read it?
I have a tendency to buy more #botm picks than I can really get through but I'd like to knock out a few more before the end of the year. Is anyone interested in doing a backlog #readthon in November?
My recent audiobook picks have been 40+ hours so this 7-hour selection is a nice change.
I picked up this slim volume of poetry at Powell's this summer and finally got around to reading it this weekend. It provided a nice break in between my other #readathon selections.
I loved Little Fires Everywhere. It‘s definitely earned a spot on my best of 2017 list.
I could not put this down. Don‘t you love it when you start a book and then you just can‘t stop?⠀

#readathon #deweys24hourreadathon
My #readathon stack is ready. Are you planning to participate today?
A wee bit of morning reading time. Oh, and tea. Always tea.
I still haven't read The Woman in Cabin 10 but I've heard good things about Ruth Ware so I couldn't resist picking up her latest book when it was on the Lucky Day shelf at the library. Have you read this one yet?
After hearing so many good things, I‘m excited to start my first Shirley Jackson novel. Have you read any of her books?
Latest library haul. I won't be able to get to all of these before they're due. Any recommendations for which one to read first?
Kicking off the week with a fun new read. What are you hoping to read this week?
Wrapped up Braving the Wilderness this morning and really enjoyed it. Have you read this one yet?
I think that October is best suited for spooky reads but apparently my library holds list feels differently.
Starting the day with a cup of tea and a new collection of poems.
Hunger is raw, tragic, and real, Beautiful prose, honest words. I loved it.
Finally finished the Alexander Hamilton biography. It was quite lengthy (especially on audio) but I found it informative and interesting. Have you read any books featuring Hamilton?
A few selections for fall. What are your fall favorites?
So excited to start my first Brené Brown. Have you read any of her books?
German book club: a way to improve my language skills or an excuse to buy two copies of the same book?
Pick up Goodbye, Vitamin by Rachel Khong if you like quick, quirky, character-driven reads. If you need a strong plot or you would feel uncomfortable reading about dementia, you should probably skip it.
The back-to-school mentality that comes with the arrival of fall always feels like an opportunity to start fresh, improve my understanding of myself, and increase my productivity. So Anne Bogel's new book on personality frameworks arrived at the perfect time and I'm excited to dive in and hopefully learn something new about myself.
.
Do you have any recommendations for books about personality or productivity?
My love of thrillers and my tendency to scare easy don't really mix. But as long as I only read them during the daylight hours I'll be fine, right?
Latest book haul. A few new things and couple classics that I want to reread. Have you picked up anything new that you're excited to start?
So I'm going to give the #bookstagram thing a try. If you're on #instagram, you can follow me at drinkteareadbooks.
a brewery/florist/bookstore/dim sum restaurant combination (complete with a library full of books for patrons to use) is just as amazing as it sounds
when you forget to strategically freeze your library holds 😬
