I finally put together my TBR pile, which includes mandatory reading for school, as well as the latest @Onceuponabookclub selection, and two of the oldest @owlcrate books on my shelf. I won‘t be able to read as diligently as usual since I leave for Vegas early Sunday morning, and have yet to pack, but I did add the last three #owlcrate books to my TBR pile. Also, my house is overrun with houseguests, both human and furry, so I may be reading in bed.

I am ready for Day 2 of the #24in48 #readathon. There are not enough hours left for me to hit 24hrs, but that‘s okay. I‘m happy to be able to spend an entire weekend doing what I love and knocking a few books off my TBR shelves. Speaking of TBR shelves, the Hour 30 Challenge is to share the book you have owned the longest and not read. This book has been on my TBR shelves since 2000. I know this because I purchased it the year Quills was released.

When I was in high school I had a very strict after school routine. I would come home and pop in my VHS copy of Jurassic Park to serve as background noise while I did my homework. Every. Single. Day. It may not be the best movie adaptation out there but it is certainly my favorite and holds a special place. I still have the VHS copy in my storage unit.

I am just about to start my second book so what better time to complete the #24in48 #readathon Hour 12 Challenge. Out of all the books in my TBR pile, this is by far the best first line, and the next book I will read.

Not only is Jonathan Maberry one of my favorite authors but I absolutely love The X-Files. I am ashamed to admit it has taken me this long to start reading.

A few years ago I donated most of my childhood books to a friend of my mom‘s for his young daughter. I was especially happy to give her my entire Baby-Sitters Club collection. I hope she enjoyed them as much as I did.

I kept only the Little House on the Prairie series, and this gorgeous copy of Little Women.

This is the first year I not only met, but surpassed my Goodreads Reading Challenge. 47 of 30 books. Not a bad year! Next year‘s goal, 50 books.
