Of course I read the classics, what do you mean?

"Writers are on holiday, but they're Muse is awake, and gives birth non-stop" - Roland Barthes
I highlighted this passage around 15 (15?!) years ago and it still speaks to me now.
This was awesome. If anyone out there can recommend more like this, please let me know.
Big battles tomorrow. Gotta be ready. #pathfinder #rpg
Target market for this book? 8+!
36 counts as 8 and up, right? It's a really cute book.
Pizza is in the oven, rum is in my glass, and my #bookoutlet #bookhaul arrived today! Believe it or not, I showed a little restraint.
No doubt hubby will use this as an excuse to buy another bass.
And the rest of the bookloutlet.com order. I got $25 off! I pretty much MADE money. Okay, I didn't, but that's $25i can spend on more books! #bookhaul
A portion of the books I ordered off of book outlet today. Of course, I can't just order books without telling @janeycanuck about it!
When it comes to buying books, we're like women on a diet who invite each other over to save each other by eating half the dessert.
Hard to read when your companion snores so much.
Good morning, litsy.
Today I learned why I'm such a great writer! It's because I neglect my housework!

Yesterday was a sad day for me, fellow littens. Writing as a Way of Healing was a big book for me this year.
Kinda wanna message Wish and tell them there's a whole app for it icalled Litsy! 🙃
Gotta say, though, there's some really cute quotes on some of these pillows that I haven't encountered very often.
Good morning, Litsy! Time for a bowl of way-too-much steel cut oats, big cup of coffee, and a serious book by a funny lady.
Say whaaaat?! 😄. Article here:

22 weeks. Oh well.
Does anyone else use Libby? I just downloaded it moments ago and I'm not sure I'm using it properly. I'm hoping this is for an audio file I can download to my phone. This has been an exercise in feeling old.

Me (front) reading while my wedding reception to-do list creeps up on me.
Currently reading a library book in a Chapters Starbucks, AMA. I'm such a rebel
#effthepolice
Wonderful, wonderful. If it weren't for the library, Jeff Lemire would be getting me into a financial pinch right now. I burn through these so quickly.
This book is a gigantic pain in the ass if you doze off and drop it on your face.
Goodnight, Litsy.
The thunderstorm is perfect for music and snuggling. I shut off the air and opened the patio door to hear the thunder. The Husband is gonna complain in the morning that it was muggy in here when he got home from work; I'll feign ignorance: "oh, it was hot in here? Sorry, babe, I dunno. That's so weird."
I wasn't sure if I was depressed or not, so I flipped a book over to seal the deal.
I turn into my father so fast when I see the difference in the US price and the Canadian one.
I found a great wine pairing for my most recent Chapters order.
I found myself in a thrift store the other day when my prescription wasn't quite ready. 😬
I suspect my Jeff Lemire craze is far from over. This is due back at the library today, so I read it over lunch.
Question for Litsy: there are a lot of places where we can find lists of what Rory Gilmore reads.
I've been binge watching old episodes of Cheers. Does anyone know of one place where we can find a list of what Diane Chambers has read over the years? Google wasn't super helpful. 🤔🤔🤔
This was okay; just not for me. A lot of people would tell me to lighten up, but there were some small snags in the investigation that I just couldn't suspend my disbelief for.
I mean, I have no problem believing the premise of all these characters from fables finding themselves in our would, but the way they conducted a murder investigation was pretty silly. Again, it's just not for me.
You may recall my posts about the first three books. On the Saturday of the long weekend, I drove around to two different libraries to grab the last three books. I tried to pace myself, but finished these yesterday. The end of these books made me ugly-cry. I highly recommend them.
And yesterday, he passed away. I didn't find out about it until I was sitting in my cubicle at work today. I'd just recommended him to a younger coworker this Tuesday, so one person at work knew who I was talking about. I've been thinking of him more this last year, wondering what he'd make of the state of things.
This blurb is from an earlier printing of the tagged book.
I thought I was being greedy this week and put the first three of Jeff Lemire's Sweet Tooth series on hold and now I wish I'd taken all of them out. It's so good. Good art, good science fiction.
Do any other #writersoflitsy wish they'd written something they were reading? I don't feel it very often, but when I do, it's the worst ache.
Fellow Littens, why must I fall in love with every artist I encounter?
Even with its flaws (and his flaws), I thought this was an excellent read and would love it if he kept writing.
Whose got two thumbs and a new (to her) bookshelf? This girl! (I mean me. This works better when you can see me pointing at myself.) I'm slightly ashamed at how quickly I was able to almost fill it. It's in the guest room, so I tried to fill it with short stories, comics, and art books someone might want to flip through if they can't sleep. Also, Popples.
Let me tell you about purgatory. Shortly after politely being informed of my death, I'll be led into a personal waiting room with several items. There's a bookcase, a chair with no foot-rest, and a stereo. A small table next to the chair includes my reading glasses and my favorite mug, full of tea. "Why, this suits me just fine!" I think. Wandering over to the bookcase, I notice: it's full of all the books I've abandoned in my life.
It's a rainy, grey day here. Perfect day to snuggle in with a coffee and my #litsypenpals letter from @TheDoubleLetterThief ! 💙
Snuck out for fish and chips by myself yesterday at lunch. I like my coworkers, but sometimes it doesn't feel like a real break if I don't get away from them.
PS, I love my Kindle. 💕 I decided on the Kindle over the Kobo, but eReaders in general have improved so much I probably would have loved either.
😂
Kindles were $99 this past weekend, so I snapped one up! 😍
Thanks, @seglitis! Super cute Cthulhu keychain, badass Hermione keychain, and froggy hand sanitizer! I love Earl Grey, but I've not tried the other two.
#keychainswap @JenlovesJT47
I was too excited to get a picture of the box, but I did get the box to the post office yesterday! I did get a picture of the emphatic sign about only ringing the bell ONCE. I was caught taking this picture; luckily, it was the friendly girl working and not...well, the other one.
The #keychainswap package for @seglitis is on its way. It should be there by the 9th. @JenlovesJT47

Holy sh*t. James Comey opens with a quote from Canada's own Jann Arden. #chuffed
In my defense, I just had 2 really big glasses of wine. 🍷🍷
...also, I might have a crush on James Comey. And Colin Meloy, but that's not new.
This was so good, I was shaking reading the last few chapters. I feel like I was late to the party on this one, but if you've not read it yet, I highly recommend it.
There's a "potentially historic" amount of freezing rain in the forecast today, but I think I'm well equipped. ?
Feeling pretty spoiled today when the package from @theresidentromantic 's #AlmostThereGiveaway arrived at the post office! Something from my TBR and a beautiful card, too! Thanks, Megan! I hope your enjoying your trip! #soglittery
Heads up! Let's hope everything goes smoothly for them this coming Tuesday.
Year-end at my 9-5 "side hustle" has really been cutting into my career of drinking and reading.
I'm loving this book, btw.
