I am delighted and grateful to officially present Ying! Special thanks to Cleo Li-Schwartz for her editing and guidance. And to Dali Wu herself for her brilliant, beautiful paintings which brought this vision to life. And for the translation (coming soon!) to honor the influences and peoples who have inspired much of the book. I thoroughly enjoyed creating this tiny tale, and I hope that all who read the story of Ying will enjoy it as well!
So far my favorite science fiction book! Any recommendations for a good sci-fi book??
Read this before re-watching the film. A very interesting way to have a movie develop (created by director and author) before having a novel to follow. Very enjoyable read though, and currently enjoying the sequel!
Well Amazon went ahead and did this on its own, but I'm glad! Only $3.24 on Amazon currently :)
Very educational on the types of narcissists in the world (which we seem to encounter rather constantly) and potential influences that steered them into that personality disorder. However, not much useful advice is included within (outside of the age-old “distancing yourself“ and “setting boundaries“).
Very beautifully-written. I'm looking forward to re-reading this one at some point.
Very delayed with how busy I've been! But great job WJ Cintron and Jean Nasser!
look what came in! now i just need a spare minute to read!
Pros:
• Excellent introduction to core concepts of hedge funds and private equity, terminology, and examples of various financial instruments.
• An easy enough read (even considering the cons)
Cons:
• Riddled...plagued with missing words, grammatical errors, etc.
• Though not imperative to understanding the material, the graphs and images are so small as to be absolutely useless.
Still, overall a pick for the HF and PE novice.
Having to take a short break from reading for pleasure. Nice to have some moral support from doggy friends 🤣
must juggle studies, Ill Shadows, and doggy snuggles. hard to be productive!
wasn't expecting much so I wasn't disappointed much. should have a title that explains it written to the faux-alpha fan base (lift weights, eat a lot of meat, don't listen to crazy vegans, and yada yada). very intro-level but still misses the mark even for intro. hard topic to master so I wasn't terrible shocked.
The Devil She Drew is finally on Kindle! Thanks again for all the support 😌

has to be the longest someone has taken to read this book 😭
the cpa exams are taking up too much reading time 🤬
A few free copies left for horror season!

Not sure where the 4AM coffee & Carré came from, but not a bad way to start the day 🤷🏻♂️.
Almost a pick, and I almost feel bad for the “so-so“, but it was quite specific to swords and sword-fighting for a good portion of the book. If you're ready to chop some limbs, this is a must-read!
Late to the party, but I'm now ready to conquer some lands.
Please don't get fussy...this one was hard to get through... 🙁
A little difficult to keep up with about 50 different characters, but otherwise a very enjoyable read! Less than a week til Heart Divided is released!
Yeesh. Really wanted to like this one 😕
“Isolated by Mexico's deadly Copper Canyons, the blissful Tarahumara Indians have honed the ability to run hundreds of miles without rest or injury.“
Really interesting read. Awesome to read some insight into a completely foreign world!
Well six years is much longer than I intended, but I‘m glad my book is finally done! My horror story The Devil She Drew is now available on Amazon! It‘s been a long, sometimes frustrating project, but overall I really enjoyed the process. I would be very grateful to anyone who would take a peek! Thanks y‘all!
Another decent one by Dean 👌🏻
Almost as good as the first and still a great read!
I actually liked this a lot more than Tom Sawyer. One of the best children's classics IMO!
Great start to an awesome series!
Oh what the hell.
Thankful it's free.
What's the point of a good mind if no one knows about it?
Hilarious new perspective when read as an adult! Really enjoyed it.
The less there is to justify a traditional custom, the harder it is to get rid of it
“This is a strange atmosphere, and we are in the midst of a strange education“.
A must-be-read, sadly. Have some light fiction handy as soon as you finish.
Funny and a little terrifying haha
Worth the quick read (or listen) I think
Still getting through it, but this dude was hungry for some “barely legal“ business when he wrote this one....christ....
I mean..it's Laymon..
Nervously giving Stephen King another chance hahaha
Great insight on of antiwar thoughts throughout the years.
Finally finished. Should be "required", but never will be for various reasons including challenging ideas even the "woke" of us have. A great insight to history (including FBI, Catholic, and other documented and admitted involvement in atrocities), and warnings for the future.
"Dictatorships have invariably first got hold of young people who have a lost sense of direction. Instead they instilled in them a madness"
"During the trials it usually emerged that they, who had thrown bombs and blown up pylons to fight for South Tyrol's freedom, had often never set foot in the region. All that mattered to them was to have a demonstrable object for their own enthusiasm, in reality for their own aggression."
???
Evidence that “classic“ has no bearing on value. No, Henry James isn't “too smart“ for some readers. Don't let that drag you in. Minimal story and maximum wordage. A pan for me, but may be a pick for the more pedophilic-minded.
"A war crime is committed by whoever installs a military position in the middle of a civilian residential area, so that in the event of hostilities the civilian population must inevitably suffer".
“In some ways suffering ceases to be suffering at the moment it finds a meaning, such as the meaning of a sacrifice.”
“Everything we get, outside of the free gifts of nature, must in some way be paid for. The world is full of so- called economists who in turn are full of schemes for getting something for nothing. They tell us that the government can spend and spend without taxing at all; that it can continue to pile up debt without ever paying it off, because 'we owe it to ourselves.' “
“You are in danger of living a life so comfortable and soft, that you will die without ever realizing your true potential“.
“There are men regarded today as brilliant economists, who deprecate saving and recommend squandering on a national scale as the way of economic salvation; and when anyone points to what the consequences of these policies will be in the long run, they reply flippantly, as might the prodigal son of a warning father: “In the long run we are all dead.“ And such shallow wisecracks pass as devastating epigrams and the ripest wisdom.”
