Starting Brad Parks' first standalone thriller! I've read nothing but praise!
This showed up in my Facebook newsfeed memories today. I had forgotten that two years ago, I was with author, Brad Parks at a library regional spelling bee. It was so much fun!
A little less than halfway through but enjoying the writing style and story. Perhaps I need to investigate more Brad Parks novels. Will review when I finish.

bailedWell, while I was bailing on this, Harper abandoned the photo. So we both bailed. The story was fine, the writing was good enough, interesting plot and characters...but after waking up from nightmares, with my heart racing several times in one night, I quit. I just have a problem when little children are kidnapped. Scary, bloody, spooky, creepy are ok, kidnap a kid and I fold. 🙄 #catsoflitsy #cattails 😐

Brad Parks will be at B&N on Saturday, March 11th. I have never read any books by this author but I will be at his book signing on Saturday. Are there any Littens who have read any of his books??? What are your thoughts or favorite books by him???

pickA thriller filled with real people and situations that you can believe. You'll run the emotional gamut a time or two while reading this and will wish you could read faster just so you can make sure these kids make it home. I think I like the Carter Ross books more than this, but it's in Say Nothing that Parks finds his stride as a crime fiction writer. Really well done.

I almost didn't finish this book. I wasn't sure I liked the Judge and how he was handling the kidnapping and one other event. I set it aside a couple of times and debated picking it back up. I did finish it and Brad does a great job of bringing all the storylines together. I even was teary eyed at the ending scene. I really like the Carter Ross series by Parks and I hope he goes back to them.
