so-soAn interesting continuation from Morte but I didn‘t enjoy it as much as the first book. This book follows Morte and Sheba after the events of book 1. It involved intelligent sea life and things were so bizarre and strange that I had a hard time enjoying this as much. I really did like Sheba‘s turmoil and struggle and how that played out but the rest of the book, a bit meh.
#3books I DNF‘d but I‘m hoping to return to finish them at some point. I didn‘t hate them, they just didn‘t really hold my attention at the time.

I love this weird series! This one was fun, with the intelligent sea creatures joining the power struggle that has already been happening on land. I also liked Sheba‘s international turmoil, trying to decide where she belongs, as well as coming to terms with who she is now.

This is my “soft TBR” for July- it‘s likely to shift some since the #24in48 is this month. I‘m planning to start my Birth and Beyond Challenge picture books during the readathon, too. If I finish all of these, I‘ll start The Priory of the Orange Tree, which I‘m incredibly excited for!
