My review and feelings of this second instalment are basically the same as the first. Was really hoping it would be better, but the going around in repetitive circles drove me absolutely crazy. ⭐️⭐️ #netgalley #reviewathon

It seems like the only way I‘ve been able to read lately has been when listening to an audiobook while getting things done! I enjoyed this sequel and learning more about what happened to James/Carlos before and after his fugue memory loss. I‘m excited to check out the newest installment of the series next!
This book was so much better than the first one. Her writing has drastically improved, and the story was far less predictable. I breezed through it in a couple of days and was very pleased. 5 out of 5 stars. I got an advance copy of book 3 and am very excited to read it.
Day 6 #FallIntoBooks #BookPairing As if you can't tell by following me, I like my book pairings with recipes. This is a much overdue review for the 2nd book in a series that I enjoyed, but don't have room to go into detail here.😬It's a mix of intriguing mystery, romance & family drama. As a nod to the fish tacos mentioned in it & Hawaii, I've paired it with 🐟Ahi Poke Tacos & Miso-Ginger Cabbage Slaw. You can see my blog review & recipe-link👇🏻
Yes! Loved! I just finished this true sequel to Everything We Keep. I couldn't put it down. This book answers questions I had after reading the first book and gives James' + the Donato family's backstory.
There are two POVs: James and Carlos, plus a past and present tense story line. The steady pacing was great and I always felt fully engaged. I love Lonsdale's easy level of suspense.
I'm so excited to learn there will be a third book in 2018!
I liked this one less than the first, and I doubt I'll be back for the third installment next year. I found James & Carlos difficult, and the story dragged as it flashed back and forth in time and tense.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.
Since it's a follow up to a book I loved, I really wanted to get this read in June but it didn't happen.😔It's having its book Birthday & publishing on July 4th so I'm reading & enjoying it this weekend. Including over today's lunch & #soupersundays recipe, Donna Hay's Coconut Laksa with Coriander & Fish Balls. So good & really quick & easy with store-bought laksa curry paste-nice for a humid day. Link to recipe post is below. #litsycooks 🍲📚❤️
That moment when you turn the last page and see confirmation that there will be yet another installment coming out! 👏😁🤗❤️
If you read Lonsdale's first book, Everything We Keep, then you want to read this one. While book 1 was primarily from Aimee's perspective, this sequel approaches everything from Carlos'/James' point of view. Full of suspense and romance, this is definitely a book worth reading. 😌💚🏄🏻♀️🏖
I'm loving this so far! Hardly had any reading time yesterday because it's finals week here. That meant yesterday was booked full with exams to give, an end of year staff dinner to attend, and exams to grade. I'm nearing the 1/2 way point though and hoping to finish this today. 🙃
Getting a few chapter of this #ARC in. It's a sequel and I'm hoping it answers the questions I had from the first book. 😀👍I'm enjoying it so far. Paired here with today's soupish lunch: Italian Vegetable Fagioli with Toasted Couscous. A simple, light soup of beans & summer veggies, but the toasty couscous topping makes it special. On the blog for #soupersundays Link👇🏻#litsycooks 🍲❤️
I was doing my happy dance when I opened this book mail! I just love these authors! Can't wait to jump into these books!!! ❤️ Everything We Left Behind by Kerry Lonsdale @klonsdale and When We Were Worthy by Marybeth Mayhew Whalen
Day 1 #JuneBookBugs #junemostanticipated The print books so far in my #JuneTBR stack. Not included: cookbooks, ebooks, audiobooks, #hpchapteraday #lesmislovescompany (must catch up!) & whatever else strikes my moody reader fancy. 5 are ARCs for book tour reviews & will get read, the others I hope to get to-the foodie book is for bookclub & not due until July. No June bugs so I give you orange chickens!🐔Tagged book is my most anticipated-a sequel.
Saturday errands are run & I grabbed a much needed green juice.💚Perusing this week's #bookmail --all for book tour reviews in the next couple months. I have to do a few chores & then I'm hoping to get some reading done & honestly, not to leave the house for the rest of the weekend. 😬😴😌#Saturday #needsomedowntime #introvertrecharge
Not such a great pic but won this arc from the author in giveaway. I have been reading it a little at a time for the past few days and I'm loving it.
Making a list of some of my most anticipated Summer and Fall reads! 😊📚☀️
