This book was published over a decade ago and I‘ve just now learned of it! There is a soundtrack to accompany the book which is available on iTunes - pretty neat.
I also have a crush on the main character, Ridge. I‘m a sucker for musicians 😜

Second op shop visited on my birthday was Father Riley‘s. It‘s not normally opened and it has true op shop prices. Grand total $24. I am collecting the tea set from op shops. It‘s so pretty. I think I‘ve found 3 in op shops so far. The belly button fluff remover is for my dad. I love a still life so thought I‘d have a go at painting one myself. The earrings reminded me of Princess Di‘s engagement ring. This pic doesn‘t do justice to the vibrant🧣
Another great one by CoHo. Not my favorite yet, but the story of Sydney and Ridge certainly didn‘t disappoint. Two unlikely paths crossed and the journey to work through to the end!!🖤
What a cute read! I liked this one better than the other CoHo novels.
It was alright. I love that Ridge and Sydney are a match in the song department and resisted their attraction as much as they could. But Ridge was emotionally cheating and that is not cool. It was very drawn out and I won't buy the book, but I will continue checking out her books because I believe her other books deserve a chance as well.
Book swap scores from Tuesday afternoon. I get off the train and walk home via the book swap for ‘exercise‘ instead of catching the tram. It‘s my favourite afternoon of the week. Afterwards I stretch with a glass of wine. I also try to go to bed early with tea and a book.
I really enjoyed this one! Colleen Hoover just has a way with words, even for someone like me who doesn't usually gravitate towards romance. The only thing holding this back from a full 5 stars is because I wanted more twists. Colleen is sooo good at giving twists you don't see coming. I missed that with this book. 4/5
Great character development and story line. Got much spicier than I expected lol 🌶️🌶️🌶️
It took me a while to get through this one, but once I finally committed, it was good.
5⭐ | Reread on Audio.
I still love this book…and I know there are a lot of people who hate this book because they can‘t get past the cheating. This story is about so much more than cheating. Maybe those people haven‘t had the right…or in this case…wrong, life experiences to feel what Coho is trying to impart with Ridge & Sidney‘s story. Sometimes life is messy and sometimes love is even messier.
Maybe someday rispecchia la vita di alcune persone…perciò non è completamente di fantasia, non sono fatti che non possono succedere alle persone nella vita reale. La Hoover non mi sta per niente deludendo.
You know it‘s a good book when you feel all the emotions and this one had me sad and happy and stressed all at the same time. Loved it!
Truly loved this book. It was cute. Did have a sad moment but well worth it.
I love the music aspect of this. I know this is a book about love but there was a bit of a love triangle in this story and it all played out very calmly. I am wondering if this is how mature adults handle love triangles? If I am a mature adult? Does my husband realize I am not a mature adult and will never be this calm if he falls in love with someone else, even if nothing physical has occurred?

Another good one from Colleen Hoover. Sydney loves listening to Ridge play his guitar across their apt complex. I‘m not going to say any more other than you can look up music that goes with their story. Loved it!
6/10
This rating physically pains me as I have not found a CoHo book I wasn‘t obsessed with; however, this book fell short for me. I could appreciate the writing and characters, but couldn‘t get behind the cheating trope. I felt like Ridge‘s character wanted the best of both worlds, making it hard to sympathize with his relationship with Sydney. Definitely not a terrible read, but not one I would ever go back to.
This is my least favorite Colleen Hoover book. The falling in love with two people trope was not executed well here. There are some serious guilt issues going on, along with loyalty due to a life altering disease that really put me off of the MC‘s Sydney and Ridge. The supporting characters of the story were stereotypical. Honestly, Maggie was the only redeeming person in, and the way her character was treated was a real turn off.
Oh em gee. I don‘t want to give too much away because there‘s a twist not mentioned in the description, but this book plucked my heart‘s strings! I also highly recommend downloading the soundtrack CoHo & Griffen Peterson created to go along with the book. Listen as you read! It creates a different experience hearing the actual songs! Warning: love triangle/forbidden love trope if that‘s not your jam. This was so good and tastefully done though! ❤️
A trip to get my prescription called for a quick book browse, I saw a tbr book there and called it a sign😅 #weekendreading
Audiobook and catching up on my temperature blanket 🥰🥰
I couldn't put it down! Was such a good book, 9/10
Colleen Hoover is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. Sydney and Ridge‘s story has all the feels. Meaning have the Kleenex at the ready. This story is so complicated but in the best possible way.
It was not what I expected at all, but the message it's what matters to me this time.

“I‘m convinced that people come across others in life whose souls are completely compatible with their own. Some refer to them as soul mates. Some refer to it as true love.”
My weekend listen ✨ I have the next in the 3 part series in my library. Solid 4/5 stars on this one 💜
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hoover always sucks me right in, and honestly, I can‘t think of another author that has me rapid-fire turning pages like she does. I‘ve just gotta know how her often gritty, always thoughtful, stories will play out. Loved these unique and likable characters. Though a bit heavy on the cheese, I liked the story, too. A newly single college student falls for a deaf musician (who has a girlfriend). Totally cheesy, but you know what? It works.
CoHo keeping me company in the early vote line. It‘s good to be a reader! 💙🗳✔️ You can‘t see it, but I‘m wearing an RBG shirt. 👑
I am somewhere between so so and pick, going back and forth. I really did like the story but the choices the characters made at time made me less sympathetic. The music can be listened to on Spotify and definitely adds to the story.
This book starts with the main character punching her boyfriend and best friend then sulking out on the street. For this reason, I was thinking this book wouldn't be for me. However, it then goes on to be rather nuanced and the black-and-white thinking puncher, goes on to realise that life consists of more shades of grey than she originally thought. This book also gets bonus points for having realistic disabled characters Overall I really liked it
