This book would be great for young adult readers because of its motifs and themes. It has also been described in a Dickensian kind of world with its eccentric ideas. I recommend this book for a classroom who is wanting to read more eccentric books.
The Wonderling by Mira Bartok. Personilzed Animal Fiction. Fantasy Fiction. This book is about a one eared Fox who is trying to find somewhere to fit in. This story is personalized animal fiction because it uses a fox as the main character who speaks.

1. Can I consider seeing Tom Felton a signing? I got a signed book?
2. I regularly buy paperbacks and kindle versions. Don‘t @ me. I have a four year old that loves to steal my book light.
3. 10 years ago I would‘ve said Hogwarts, but JK Rowling really soured that for me. Today, I would love to visit Derry, Maine.
“the Wonderling, an innocent-hearted, one-eared, fox-like eleven-year-old with only a number rather than a proper name — a 13 etched on a medallion around his neck — it is the only home he has ever known.
The Wonderling, Mira Bartok, 2017. Miss Carbunkle has a school for the not normal kids and creatures. The Wonderling just wants to be a normal kid with a normal name.
I had a major cover crush on this one, so I was really disappointed it was written so badly. I struggled getting through the first 350 pages, where the big action started, and then it quickly fizzled out. Also, too many uses of the phrase “by the way.” It got tiring. If you want great book decor, go for it, but if you want a fabulously written tale, look somewhere else.
This MF about a part human and part animal young “groundling” faces being orphaned & gripping adventure. This young readers novel would be great for LC or IR. The UDL strategy (1.2) to provide an audio version as alternatives for students. The ESOL strategy (17) support with audio presentation & a visual book trailer. The resource provides a discussion guide for students to discuss main ideas & themes through meaningful discussion. #UCFLAE3414SP20
I was really intrigued with the fact that all of the characters had some human qualities & characteristics, but were animals. This makes for a great connections and can allow the author more freedom with what they can do.
This book was AMAZING. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I cannot say enough good things about this book! I didn‘t want it to end! I will be reading it with my son next!
I am not quite halfway through this one, but I don‘t ever want it to end!!! I loooooove it!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ #blameitonLitsy
This was a cute book with a good story of friendship.
What a great little story. So different, so imaginative. A very fun read! Well written. Adorable characters. Captivating story. Would definitely recommend this book!
Just started this with my son. Wow! What a beginning! We're only on chapter 3 and we're already hooked!😄📖

If you want to read a book written for 6-12 year olds that is about giving up and not going on a journey of self discovery, do not read this book. If you want to do a #bookclubwithniece and want a fun, sweet adventure to share and discuss, read this book. I found this book ok but my niece says it is her current favourite.
#tbrtemptation I didn't buy it, but it was so pretty I had to snap a pic to add it to my tbr. (Actually the kid attached to the cowboy boot in the basket hogging my phone, nicely paused his game ON MY PHONE and took the pic for me.)
Dewey's Readathon countdown, Day 24: Today's prompt is "drinks." Here's an adorable book and an adorable soda can! (However, the insides of the book are amazing but the insides of the can are less than stellar.) #readathon #30DaysofReadathon ?
