This book would link to teaching in the classroom by introducing students to concepts of justice, equality, and the impact of individuals in shaping society, encouraging them to think critically about these themes in their own lives.
This picture book, published in 2019, is a biography that explores the life and accomplishments of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a pioneering figure in the fight for gender equality and women's rights. Awarded the 2020 New York Times Best Illustrated Children's Book, it highlights her legal battles against discrimination and her determination to ensure justice for all.
I got this beautiful care package from @Come-read-with-me last week. We used to see each at least 3x a week on the train on our way to work but bc of Covid I havent seen her since Feb/March. Miss you terribly!

#ReadingResolutions Day16: Perfect for #👩🏻⚖️ prompt, Winter and Innerst packaged Ginsburg‘s biography to resemble that of a trial in court, as a case being presented to the reader-audience, with exhibits shown here and there as evidence to prove their point. This was not altogether maintained throughout the narrative, but it served its function. My full review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-i02
#MarchIntoOz Day 12: Strong females who think and behave differently from others are labeled as #Misfits and are often discredited, diminished, or devalued. A few picturebook biographies of courageous women who did not give a fig whether they were considered #Misfits.
1. What a gorgeous book! This was hidden #UnderTheDustJacket .
2. What a fabulous book! It deserves a place in my classroom library.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg: The Case of RBG v. Inequality is a B that showcases the hardships that Ginsburg endured to reach the position of power that she has today. I also thought this book would make a fantastic text-to-text connection with “She Persisted” by Chelsea Clinton. I liked the thought of PR for this book for improved comprehension of material.

Excellent non-fiction picture book biography about an amazing woman. It‘s presented like a court case, with exhibits, of how RBG has experienced and fought against inequality. The illustrations are pretty cool too!
