There's something about how Herne developed Owen's perspective that I really loved.

UNPOPULAR OPINION: most readers hate what Granuaile did to Atticus but I think it‘s exactly what the series needed; sometimes it‘s tiring when the protag always wins, a series needs a shake-up, such as killing off a side character or even the protag (see: Changes by Jim Butcher) to bring in a new obstacle, set the protag to square one, go in a new direction. I‘m here for it in Scourged and hope there‘s a follow up! Sorry for bad Kindle selfie.
What‘s not to love about a 1000 year old Druid with a sense of humor, a love of animals, badass fighting and magic skills, owned a book store... the list goes on! ❤️ Atticus O‘Sullivan ❤️ #LiteraryCrush 😍

I put off starting this one for a long time, I wasn‘t ready for this series to end, and I‘m still not ready. This final battle brings together characters we‘ve met throughout the series (plus a few short stories), and includes the culmination of various storylines stretching over the globe (and many books) and for all of that perfection, the final ending is still very bittersweet for our favorite, long-lived, Druid. I‘m still left wanting more.
I love listening to this series, but while I was cutting the grass the other day I kept getting confused about what was happening in the story, there didn‘t seem to be any flow at all.
Just figured out why everything was so confusing, I must not have locked my phone because I started the book (part 1) before heading out there and somehow ended up in part 9 thirty min later. It must have been skipping while in my pocket! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

This is the book my husband and I are listening to on our vacation through Colorado. We love the Iron Druid series by Kevin Hearne and Luke Daniels's voice talent makes the stories come alive.
Note: My riotgram challenge will be out of order. No reason, just becuase.
Definitely read the short story collection first! Hearne did not disappoint! This series finale runs you through the emotional gambit! Warm fuzzies, humor, sadness, joy, surprise, and satisfaction! I love the choices Hearne made, including the wholly unexpected ones! (More on this in the comments with a spoiler block) I‘m so sad it‘s over, but DAMN was it a good run!

Bittersweet, fitting ending to one of the best urban fantasies around! I'm getting a huuuuge bookhangover right now so I will just go to bed instead of starting a new book.
Holy. Dang. So many feels. Sad it‘s over, happy and sad about the conclusion of certain arcs. Just. Wow.
Soooo I like this book, but I feel like it went way too fast. I think it, given the ending, if I had been a person in this world I would made it my mission to kill all the gods. I ended up liking Owen way more, and I am glad to see his growth as a character. A good end to the series, but not a great one.
1) Today gorgeous, actually a bit too hot...tomorrow we‘ll go back to actual spring temps, the first we‘ve really gotten.
2) Springtime dish....I‘m craving some fresh summer fruits and vegetables, but I have to wait awhile for those yet.
3) I‘m really anticipating this one, it‘s a fun series and this is the LAST one, so once I get my current pile back to the library on time 🤞, I‘ll be diving in.
@Gezemice
I've just finished this book and I'm still mulling over the ending of this series. There have always been small things that have irritated me pretty badly while reading, but overall I've enjoyed this series tremendously. It was fun, creatively funny and contained some surprising sparks of wisdom. I like where the characters are at now, as opposed to where they started out.
Ragnarok was fairly anticlimactic, however.
Listening to this on the way to Pennsylvania this morning. Exactly the book I need to keep my mind off my grief and my brother's driving. 👀
Listening to this on audiobook while I pot on squash and cabbage seedlings in the greenhouse. BMO the Book Cat was keeping an eye on the orchard for me.
There's so much wrong with these books but I still enjoy them for a light listen. The narrators really need to learn to pronounce Polish properly though. It's dreadful, frustrating and unintelligible at times.
She‘s an Irish goddess. If I give her a tiny glass of beer she will hurt me.
@KevinHearne retweeted the convo my brother and I had about reading Scourged!! #KevinHearneIsTheBest ❤️ #IronDruidChronicles 😍#StillInDenialItsFinished 😭
We are snowed in, which means extra reading time until someone can plow me out.
HELP! This beauty came from Amazon but their driver left it in the snow so it's water damaged. Am I just SOL? Either way, I'm finishing up putting together tomorrow's dinner and then diving into this with a glass of the new, and amazing Apothic Brew. So. Good. It tastes like caramel.
In honor of Scourged release day I decided to go with @KevinHearne for the prompt #AuthorYouLove 💙 #AprilBookishMadness 🌺📖

With the final book in The Iron Druid Chronicles coming out on April 3, 2018 I really want to #Reread at least the first 3 books in the series before I get Scourged 😊 #MagicalMarch ❤️🌈🍀

I had two #Audible credits to use, so I chose one pre-order (I need to listen to some that I already have!) and one from my wish list. Then I realized I just bought two more books by white men.... 🤦🏻♀️
Here‘s hoping for some diverse characters...
I can not wait for Scourged! 😊 I am sad that Iron Druid Chronicles is coming to an end though 😢 #WaitingOnWednesday #ReadGushJan18 #Scourged #KevinHearne #IronDruidChronicles #BookNerd 📚💙
